Default My Furby on track yesterday

My little tug-boat opened a few eyes and got plenty of positive feedback from all who rode in her. I was very impressed to say the least with her composure and speed. She ain't no Scoob, but held her own against them never catching up but not being caught either. Syuperb day out !

good fun on the track isn't it , mine seems to hold its own at Oulton Park , especially against stuff that should be faster , they catch up on the straights , but some people just can't go round corners

i've got a pair of slick Toyos in the shed to prove i'm a loon on the track

I'm chasing a set of Scooby wheels (same PCD and offset) with Bridgestone RE070's on for road and track use, but if I can't source any for sensible money then any cheap alloys with some new R888's or A048's for next time

Sept 15th, and the price was just £30. We go twice a year and have the place to ourselves. The track ain't Silverstone, more like Top Gear but it serves the purpose brilliantly for a private club day with very few rules except our own concessions to safety. My pics here LOTS

Some vids HERE and HERE from the Ariel Atom (over 320bhp and under 450kg).

Especially when they filled up 5 miles from the track, including Jerry cans for some, and they still needed to fill up for the drive home. I drove there, did the track, drove home, to w*rk, home, w*rk again, home again this morning and I've been out this afternoon, and will be teaching driving in it tomorrow with the half tank I still have left.

Without blowing my own trumpet, it takes a very good driver to trouble me on there whatever I'm in. Fast cars in the hands of anyone of meagre ability are easy prey as they spend all their time correcting their misuse of the power Last year I went in a Pug 309 1.3 diesel (non-turbo) and still had them worried. The Furby held it's own superbly.

I love to read their 'Self-Pontificating' remarks of how good the *All Slaying Scood* really is and knowing that many 'average cars would keep right on their tails if not embarrass them quite easily

Don't get me wrong mate, my Scoob was nothing short of awesome. Standard power but a chassis to die for. I could quite easily feed it through bends that the Furby manages at 90 well above 130. Most Scoobs however are mod'd badly with an inbalance of power over handling, meaning they constantly have to hold off or correct the mess they've started. I proved this fact many times against cars with 350 and up to 450bhp on challenging country roads where my car just flowed and theirs twitched, pitched and slid. Done well they are everything many people say about them, mostly though, they are overhyped hotheads disasters waiting to happen.

I can't wait to get another

Crux of the matter is, MOST of the 'owners' havent the ability for the car.. standard form, possibly , but they then think they are 'Driving Gods' and modify them to within an inch of their being and THATS when they are at their worst. not so much the car......
