Thank you for looking.

Bespoke show car or collectors car available immediately. ?6995.00

Here is my cherished Mk1 Octavia Combi who I would love to go to a genuine V/RS enthusiast. She started life in 2004 as a relatively scarce 1.9PD130 six speed Laurin and Klement finished in graphite grey metallic. I bought her from Rainworth Skoda Notts in 2008 with around 54000 on the clock as the second registered keeper. I have used her and continue to use her daily ever since in my role as a travelling officer, keeping her serviced via a totally trusted independent VAG specialist, and wax oiled twice annually and maintained on a daily basis. Despite a lot of outlay, I have spent many hundreds of hours keeping her looking smart and she is very much part of the family. It breaks my heart to part with her but its time to move on and a new family car forces a very reluctant sale.

She genuinely looks like a factory RS edition - but with many little twists which make her stand out - read on why...

She came with ASR, ESP and EDL plus many other acronyms as standard, along with factory heated black leather seats, factory xenons, lamp washers, roof bars, climate control, Skoda Symphony with auto changer, sunroof and a raised rear storage floor. At the time I hadn't realised that these would form the foundation of a very interesting project.

I ran her to 201000miles on her original turbo which unexpectedly let go and snapped a spindle in September 2012. I'd already elected to replace the ageing turbo with a Garrett GTB2260VK from Darkside Developments, but when this was purchased and bolted to the original 201000mile power unit my VAG specialists encountered warning lights in plentiful supply. The car at the time was wax oiled, fully functioning and ready for winter and there was no rust whatsoever on the bodyshell. And so my wish to create a very bespoke daily driveable and potential future show car continued...

A brand new - larger zero (0) mileage Audi/VAG PD short block power unit (to the cost of ?5000) was bought and installed. Mated to this was a full Darkside GTB2260VK Garrett Turbo kit with bespoke Darkside pipe work, and Darkside manifolds (a work of craftsmanship), Audi RS6 down pipe, EGR delete, catch can, Darkside strengthened cam, head bolts, liners and Darkside alloy tanked side intercooler. The gearbox was also overhauled and a SACHS 6 speed racing clutch installed along with launch control upon remapping - read on.

The factory airbox remains with a Pipercross 'lifetime' filter which I swap out every few months. An Audi TT strut brace has been fitted with marine grade stainless fittings. A full 2.75" stebro stainless exhaust with a rifled Power Flow back box was bespokely made for me by a company in Darlington. This has a lifetime guarantee and does not make ridiculous sounds. An 8 inch outlet snugs the rear bumper. Receipts included. Bilstein B6 struts and H&R 45mm drop lowering springs, plus a full set of Powerflex bushes have been added as a full suspension overhaul which give a truly planted factory ride which is extremely comfortable on all road surfaces.

The car was then professionally remapped at Big Fish Tuning to around 311bhp/354+nm albeit in a very de tuned specification while the new power unit continues to bed in - this set up can be taken to very high levels simply by installing 90% Firad injectors as the intercooler and cam will easily handle 350+hp. I'd recommend another 10000 miles on the car before doing so. The cold start system is protected and oil changes take place every 5k miles by my VAG specialist and new filters and Quantum oils are used (all receipts retained).

To cope with the power increase I have sourced and had professionally installed via PB Brakes - PB/Porsche Cayenne Turbo 356mm drilled and slotted discs with floating rotors, big brakes on both front (8 pot) and rear (6 pot) to a cost of ?3500. These are truly awesome to use and to look at. A new handbrake system was also installed together with a new line linkage kit also from PB Brakes. Anodised black finish to maintain a look of 'factory' about them.

In April 2011 the body work was professionally restored before Porsche Riviera Blue vinyl from 3M was professionally applied - mid life crisis. This came with a ten year guarantee from Xtreme of Harrogate. In November 2014 I elected to concede that my mid life crisis had ended and opted to return the car to Xtreme who professionally installed Lamborghini Aventador Grey/Silver 3M vinyl to the car as second vinyl overlay. This really has fettled a beautiful finish. This also has a ten year guarantee from 3M and totally protects the metal work. As I am still driving the car daily I also elected to have aviation grade Premium Shield clear coat paint protection film fitted to the front end, bonnet, wings, A pillar and sills to a third layer. This is completely impenetrable and easy to care for. The car is washed with Meguiars Gold Class and snow foam at least twice a week, buffed with micro fibre and polished with High Definition Wax on a regular basis - there are no tar spots! The car has attended Pickering Modified and Harewood VAG shows.

A now very rare VRS Motorsport body kit, with rear spoiler, Cupra splitter and RS4 gills, completes the look and widens the arches to fit 225/45/18" Bern and Bern Accent rims finished in Porsche Anthrazit powder coat. There are two sets of rims - one set shod with part snow (Nankang)/all season (Hankook SV2) tyres - the others shod with summer tyres (Bridgestone) - second set to be negotiated. The car has been remapped and the speedo calibrated to run the larger rims in harmony with the revised suspension. The tow bar is used very occasionally to tow a small camping trailer, but mainly used to attach a ball mounted bike carrier. Xenons self adjust when loaded. The xenons were professionally uprated to 6000k as were the side lights. A set of 6000k Hella DRL's also give her a modern twist up front. LED light conversion inside. The front grills are Millotec badge less and Millotec Powder Coated Black alloy. The RS badges front and rear are bespoke Audi.

Window tints are original L&K with a very light professional tint applied to rear doors, quarter lights and tail by Xtreme Harrogate. Windscreen is original with a very small <5mm chip above drivers side wiper blade (been there around 3 years - not an MOT failure). The rear passenger offside rear window motor occasionally sticks - it's been two years since the car carried rear passengers!

A full VAG aero wiper conversion has been carried out.

The interior, dash and other trim panels have not been flocked - they've been overlayed with Porsche 4 way stretch carpet trim to give the interior a bespoke appearance. The two rear door cards are still to complete at time of writing but a roll of material will be supplied if I don't get chance to complete. A bespoke gauge pod (100 hours of home work) was made and houses a Garmin Sat Nav, turbo boost and oil pressure gauges (gauges are still to be plumbed in but Sat Nav works a treat). A Cupra leather steering wheel and airbag conversion by my VAG specialist has been carried out. The carpets are immaculate and contrast nicely with the leather seats and dash etc.

Anniversary aluminium pedals have been fitted and a Fabia VRS 6 speed gear knob to complete. Centre console has been wrapped to the body colour which matches the gear knob. The door inserts are to do but wrap will be supplied. Headlining is standard but I have sufficient Porsche carpet trim to complete. All boot trims have been fitted with Porsche carpet and the sound deadening it offers is superb. Lower boot carpet trim is in very good condition and standard in lighter grey. A boot liner is fitted, as is a dog guard.

Tail lamps are standard. A tyre inflation kit graces the wheel well. Summer tyres are run on flats if required.

This is an awful lot of car which is mechanically fettled, cosmetically stunning and has the performance when required which will easily embarrass more premium brands and tackle Santa Pod if you're crazy enough. I've absolutely loved creating a machine which looks just like a factory example - until you look that bit closer. This vehicle will last another ten years.

I am looking at selling to a genuine enthusiast and am happy to answer any questions from potential buyers only. I will not entertain tyre kickers or nut and bolt counters.

Private VRN is not included in the sale. 11 months MOT (carried out April 2015)

I reserve the right to withdraw the car from sale at any point as it is advertised elsewhere. With around ?16k invested, the price reflects the quality of parts used and the condition of the body and underside in the build. The car will not be broken down and sold off in lots and the mileage will differ as it will still be used daily until sold.

Thanks again for looking and I hope someone will love her as I have.

Genuine enquiries only due to shift work.
