Roomster Swing radio codes

I am new to this forum, I own a 2011 Roomster and I have a Swing radio problem!

Intermittent radio reception, sometimes the radio and cd do not work at all. I have tried tracing the problem to no avail. I have the opportunity to try another Swing radio, for which I have the security code, and my question is this..... If I need to put my original radio back, will I need the code for it, because as far as I know I do not have it. I know that the car accepts it's own radio without the code, but not sure if it still will after another one has been fitted and tried out!

The car remembers the code so putting the Swing back in will be OK.

I'm led to believe that it will remember up to three codes at a time, but I've never had that many stored.
