Help Me Choose New Tyres!

I don't think this has been covered before , but I would like some advice as to a new set of boots for the vRS.

I have narrowed it down to the three in the poll but would welcome any suggestions/experiences with others.

I put the GSD3's on my Octy - GREAT grip, but no longetivity. Toyos voted here.

Goodyear F1`s, just for their grip....dont last long though
Pirelli Nero`s are another good one, ask DaveU he puts 350+ through them

Well, at least 50bhp.

Mr. Fishy, if you can afford them put some Michelin Pilot Sport 2's on. You will not regret it.

If you can't stretch to the sports, the Michelin Pilot Exalto 2 are great tyres, last reasonably well and grip like anything Superb grip in the wet compared to other tyres I have used, and great grip in the dry too.

Re: Help Me Choose New Tyres!

Just done anice 50 mile drive on the P Zero Nero's and I must say the level of grip compared to the primacy's is unbelievable, the ride is also a bit quieter, not sure about the wet yet, will know next time it rains! But impressed so far
p.s. got them off Ebay £56 a corner, fitted!

Re: Help Me Choose New Tyres!

In the wet they are very very good. That's why I always recommend them (I've had a grand total of 13 complete sets over the last 4 years )

Only done 5K miles on them and had no issues, only got two which are fitted to the rears with the original Bridgstones off the rears on the fronts.

Can't complain at the price, just keep an eye out for offers Costco have on.

Re: Help Me Choose New Tyres!

Thanks for the suggestions guy's. Decided that I would take Delcac's advice and have bought myself a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's off e-bay.

Hope your'e right mate as you have swayed my decision away from the Toyo's, I very nearly bought those instead.

Re: Help Me Choose New Tyres!

You'll be right, I class Toyo's t1-r's as the lowest I've had so far....

Just happen to be on the car atm

Can't run the good ones when I'm doing work travel...cost me too much on the M40

I don't think you will be disapointed with the pilot sports, lots of people seem to really rate them on their sporty cars.
