More Pics of vRS TDI in White...

Here...

AUTO.CZ - Škoda Octavia RS 2.0 TDI - benzín nebo naftu?

Is it my eyes, or does the TDI sit a fraction lower than the FSI? Shame I can't read Czech, would be interesting to know the verdict!

Re: More Pics of vRS TDI in White...

Certainly looks lower in the lead picture but not so in some of the others.

Maybe the car is in a high speed sweeping bend and is therefore hunkered down on the side facing the camera?

Wot a larf! I always knew that 'too virtual strengthener workings' was one of the big failings of the vRS!!! But thank goodnes for those 'pith-mounted natures' that make it all worthwhile!!

No. I've seen a diesel VRs at the dealers and it sits exactly the same as the petrol VRs. These are probably promo shots and they have a couple of bags of sand in the boot.

You may be right - but they weren't promo shots, the site is a Czech motoring website road test report...

This baffles me. IMO the Octy 2 vRS needs an inch out of the suspension (purely aesthetic - the setup does a great job for the practical and fun remit) and the pics on this site look like the car has been lowered - jolly nice it looks, too. If these were promo shots the car would be fully loaded and not have a scruffy interior. So what's the deal...?

I was on my Skoda Dealer today buying some Octavia carpets and ask about this and they toll me that Skoda have a option that you can ask for a version that sit 20mm lower. He also toll me that this option is available for some countries only.

I was beginning to wonder if this was the case. I'm really surprised it's not available over here as we're such a hot-hatch loving nation.

Has anybody asked?
Are the Dealer aware of different ride hight settings?

Can it be retrofitted then? - you'd assume so. That way you should not risk compromising the ride or handling, benefit from a better looking car as it is lower, and retain your warranty...

Guess what, eaven the Superb has this option. Its called Sport Package.
These are the extras for the Superb Sport Package:

3-spoke leather steering wheel
Double Tail Pipe Exasust
Chasis lowered by aprox 20mm

Check if you also have this option for your country on the Superb, maybe you can find some info about the lowering chasis for the VRS.

Hope this info help you guys,

Isaac
