Carlisle meet - 24th November

Saturday 24th November.

I hope this isn't too short notice. If people can't make it, a new date can be arranged most likely January, as I'm sure everyone will be getting busy on the run up to Christmas.

The venue will be The Rose And Crown at Low Hesket at 12pm. I haven't been there before but I've had good recommendations about it. The car park is a good size and it's easy to find, the post code for sat nav people is CA4 0HG. I'll be interested if Mac67's sat nav can find it. lol

If the weathers good a drive after can be in order, I've got a route about to be finalised that should have some good photo opportunities.

Damn, infact double damn!

I'm in Southport that day and night for SWMBO's mother's 60th birthday meal and stop over in hotel type do. D'oh!!!!!

What's the alternative date pal?

And you are so right about my sat nav, its got a mind of its own. You can be driving along quite merrily when it will just loose its signal and then when it comes back on it doesn't know where it is for a few seconds so it just takes a random guess as to where it thinks you should go and when you get lost it tells you you've arrived! There's never a dull moment.... lol.

Oh no.

Looking through the calander the 15th December is possible, otherwise January is best bet.

This is going well, but something will be sorted. Maybe this was too short a notice. The venue will be the same if not the date.

Ha.... lol, i dont believe it, its my 40th birthday on the 14th and SWMBO is whisking me away for the weekend to one or more mistery locations. I dont know where i'm going but i love surprises, i know some tickets have came through the post but dont know what for or where and i know a posh hotel is involved, she's doing all the driving in her car so i'll be having a stiff vodka before we set off.... lol. I cant wait, she has bigged it up soooo much so i'm expecting big things. I'll post on here when i get back on the whole experience. She is good to me, bless her!

Everyone welcome. Will go for the 24th November. Hopefully the weather will be in our favour. Just thinking about it meeting say 15 mins earlier could be beneficial, so we can fill the car park

I was expecting big things for my 40th, a couple of weeks back, and ended up with a 1,000 mile circuit of Scotland!!

I think even if i was playing against a one-legged 3-toed sloth with a club held in its teeth, it would still have more spare money than me to buy a round of drinks...... lol

. I am saving for a wedding you know. Infact, any chance of a lift to Carlisle for the meet????

Well, as long as i was driving (and could drive the way i wanted) and didn't have to pay for fuel, that would suit me fine...... and ofcourse, if she wanted to hire a Zonda for the experience then there'd be no complaints here!
