You mean After Market Xenon install or fitting the OEM ones?

Fitting the OEM ones is a major major task, and there is debate about the legality of the after market Xenon bulbs.

Personally I would just fit some Osram Silverstars or Phillips Vision plus etc.

Technically is isn't legal (from what I can make out) I would suggest speaking to somebody like Awesome GTI on here ir similar places for information on kits that are available, and if they are suitable for UK road use etc.

I know Czechmate on here fitted some himself, it seemed relatively simple...that was until they went like strobes, I can't remember what it was called but something to do with SHUTTER needed to be changed in Vag COM.

Ahh I didn't notice you were not in the UK...

In that case, yeah you replace the standard bulb with the one in the HID kit, and mount the ballast near the light fitting. You plug the cable that comes to the lights into the ballast and you are away.

You might need to tweak something in VAG COM depending on the kit you use.
