Creaking noise again!

Ok ive done a search and im pretty sure it's the arb bushes i know this has been covered before many time's so sorry in advance, but only had the vrs 3 weeks and this week it's started to make a loud creaking noise form the front of the car. When pulling away you can hear it and it was really bad today and even made a noise when i got out of the car this is really bugging me it's a great car to drive but i need to get this sorted asap! Im going to spray them with wd40 do you think this will help? if i have no joy then im going to have to book in at the dealers! Any comments? ideas? thanks.

Mine have done this for ages and ive sort of learned to live with it. They say oil rots the bushes but its a simple way to make sure it is the bushes that are causing the problem. These bushes are cheap to replace so give it a go.

Its more than likely the coating on the arb has split and corroded inside the bushes, this is what causes the noise.

Ta lummox. Whats the best cure for this? sand and repaint arb then replace bushes?

Cheers lummox! will have to book it in at the dealers as im not very hands on be interesting to see what they say, one thing for sure i cant live with it!

Replace the bar is best cure with new bushes. Go for a nice spangly Neuspeed one or similar.

mine went that way just after buyin my vrs from my local skoda dealer, creaking & banging. They changed the complete arb & bushes. luckily it was covered by the warranty otherwise it wud av been a neuspeed 1 fitted.

Mine is in monday for a new ARB and fitting. £156.56 at Skoda.

Started off as a knock ocationally, then every bump, now it just rattles. Its anoying now, so its being done.

Oh! WD40 made mine sound worse.

I only made a post about this same problem two weeks ago. It was in the dealers last week for new ARB, bushes etc, fortunatelly still under warranty. Problem now solved, no noise and the ride feels slightly firmer. May be a false impression but it definatelly feels better to me!!!!

Just got mine back.

No knocking and a transformation to the steering, didnt know it had got so bad. Feels solid and more responsive now, no play at all.

Yeah!! mine's getting worse now banging abit too but mostly a creaking noise, got it booked in on friday hopefully get it sorted. Funny you say about the steering mine feels bit slack compared to when i picked it up 4wks ago.
Should arb and bushes be doing this on a 6 year old car with 51k?
Mluton did they find the problem straight away? glad you get it sorted out just hope mine is the same really doing my head in today!!!

Mine was just out of the 3 year warranty, by a few months @ 49K

VW rescue didnt spot it, but Skoda did straight away.

Well got my in to the dealers today, turns out the arb was cracked!!! So a new bar and bushes were fitted nice and quite now and drives much better feels nice and solid.
