Why do people insist on using mobile phones when visiting the lavatory

This guy was having a conversation with his mum about he recent holiday telling her what him and his family got upto in Rome

Is it just me who finds this behaviour strange?

I love a couple of rounds of Worms whilst on the crapper (to coin a phrase!) - no different to reading the paper IMO. Or did you mean talking whilst having a dump - I thinks that's weird too!

I will quite happily call the gf if i run out of loo roll for example and she has to chuck a new one around the door, but i dont generally answer normal calls in case people figure out im on the loo.. its a bit weird!

I normally watch youtube videos or read a magazine.

Yeah it's easy for them to suss ........I think the grunting and straining can be a give away

Also the echo of the bathroom is a slight give away, and the 'PaloooooooP' as your last effort drops into the toilet water splashing your gooch!

my ex fiancee had a habit of caling me when she was on the throne and bored. I got used to it, though personally I can't cope with the idea.

Texting is different....and general web surfing/msn/checking emails has become my preferred M.O....

So if you get into a msn session with me before 7am or after 9pm, be afraid......

Although a mate regularly calls when taking a dump.

we have that in our work, people using the phone in the cubicle.

One huys was chatting to his mate saying i'm in the house waiting on a gas engineer.

The next thing he hears the toilets being flushed by myself and another fellow worker in the two cubicles next to him!

If I happen to received a text then yes I'll reply. Sometimes i answer the phone before I realise where I am, so have to get rid of them before flushing! haha! Can't say it's a regular occurence though......

How can anyone be sat on the loo long enough to read a magazine, watch a video or play computer games?

A bloke at work used to have conversations with you whilst you were sat in the next cubicle!!
Most off-putting when you could hear him straining mid sentance!

How can anyone be sat on the loo long enough to read a magazine, watch a video or play computer games?

Taking a dump is something to be enjoyed! You have got to take your time and its chance to sit down and read a bit of a magazine that i would not otherwise get chance to look at. Taking a dump at work is evening better.. free bog roll and your getting paid for it! its a win win!

Taking a dump during a get-out at the theatre is the best... pooing at £39 an hour!

At work, definitely not.

It's not the people on the other end of the phone I'm concerned about, it's my colleagues knowing who is making the awful smell
