  1. it is sufficient to make full tank and reset the trip km counter each time: you know the litres, or gallons, and the kms, or miles, you just divide this...the only matter is you have to make full fuel and reset the trip length counter (or make differences and sum, but it's boring and tricky). Obviously it is better to do at least 3/4 tank and averaging several times...
  2. This is of general truth, I observed exactly this on my Seat (1.6 tdi) except that accelerations and overtakings can be recovered in few kms.
  3. yes, fuel display analogic indicator is logarithmic, not linear.
  4. May ask you how you feel the car and how to you manage with the maximum torque at 2000 rpm? Do you drive usually at rates lower than 2000 rpm or higher?
  5. Hi guys! I should choose between two engines on Fabia: 1.2 tdi greenline or 1.6 tdi 75 (or 90) hp. THe points are: - consumption: the greenline has low consumption, but at which regimes since the maximum torque is at 2000 rpm? Shell I drive always "under torque"? (1.6 has the maximum torque at 1500 rpm and keeps it constant up to 2000/2500 rpm) - engine ageing: can the 3 pots live as long (in terms of miles) as the 4 pots? - for a most inter-urban use what is better? Plese, share your ideas or experience. PTG
  6. sure! in the brochure the only technical data which are different are the ones about torque and power...no more...
  7. Thank you so much! this is very relevant since at 2200 rpm in the 75ps the torque is out of its maximum plateau while at 2000 rpm the torque of the 105ps is in the middle of the maximum plateau. The 75ps at 70 mph is already out of its optimal working regime... nevertheless this can be due not to different gear ratios but just to a minor torque value, so the question about differences in mechanics, sizings, materials, is still open, as far as I understand...
  8. ya, this is the key point: is it true??? they are the same engine with only a different electronics or they have also differences in some mechanics, sizings, size ratio between parts, materials...and so on... ??? I hope you can see my point: I 'm not sure the 75ps is just the detuned 105ps, it could have different materials specs or sizings... someone can help me?
  9. what does mean that it runs out? the dealer I spoke with told me that 1.6 tdi 75bhp is the most suitable for mainly interurban usage (say 80% interurban, 20 % urban, no motorway) w/o sporting ambition... ...tell me what do you mean with running out, please.
