  1. Wouldn't worry I handed my car back with a cracked headlight. They told me as long as the car was Road legal and had no panel damage requiring a respray I'd be OK.
  2. Up here I've found the opposite. Vw would do anything to sell a car whereas skoda werent interested and were like well go elsewhere then! If you try in August or September there will definitely be deals out there then.
  3. You could probably do that. Vw is your best bet though as they have plenty of incentives on a polo. Youd have to use these though to write off the negative equity on the citigo. Skoda dealers seem to struggle to do this. My advice nip into your local vw dealer, explain your situation and see if they can do you a deal. If you don't ask you'll never find out!
  4. Thats weird as I had to leave the v5 with the car??
  5. It's gone now. When I'm not driving the new polo I'm smoking around in an 18 year old punto. Must say though, I loved the sport easily one of the 3 favourite cars I've owned.
  6. The actual value of the car will be determined by market conditions and will definitely be worth less than that. If that's the case and you want another the dealer should be able to do a deal or just vt the car. Either way you will be better off buying the car this way as it will lose more than you are paying.
  7. Eeeekkk is correct. My car is getting collected next Friday. The paperwork from skoda says that they check for damage etc but the auction house say they only need it to be roadworthy so they can drive it away. They don't check the car for condition and have no facility to.
  8. Hope this helps show how on some cars pcps are cheaper. If the cars on 0% and you have the cash why pay cash???
  9. A pcp will work out cheaper as at the minute it's 0% and the cars are depreciating more than what skoda say so you pay less than you would if you pay cash. Ie for 3 years of my citigo I've paid 5k on a pcp. If Id paid cash and sold the car I'd have lost at least 6-6.5k meaning I'm up by 1500 pound.
  10. They are excellent cars. They have a few flaws but ones I could live with. I'm not sure the asg is very good though. Oh and I'd definitely avoid buying new if you are a cash buyer. You will loose too much money too quickly! They work out cheap on a pcp though.
  11. You should be able to pick second hand citigos up for peanuts! Citigo, ups and miis don't hold their values at all so are great cars to either get new on a pcp or buy second hand!
  12. Thru definitely don't consider the mileage. I was told that over the phone. They said as long as there were no scratches or dents down to bare metal they wouldn't be worried. My headlight is cracked but I'm just gonna see what they say. If they bill be they bill me, if not result.
  13. Even if there is. It's not like vw will lose out. I was in negative equity, my car at under 3 year old was worth under 4k!! I owed 5k on it. The situation wasn't going to get any better. Vw keep the balloon payment high on the trio to make the monthly payments sensible! They know that most people are going to hand the car back at the end or vt the agreement. They are just hoping that you take another one out with them and will usually give you a good incentive to do so.
  14. Vt means voluntary termination. On any finance agreement once you have paid 50% of the total amount you can hand the goods back and end the agreement.
