  4. Hi I need your advice! I would like to upgrade my front bakes/discs? Any help and advice would be very welcome. To start with, what size are my current front discs? Plus I wish to continue to my original Monte wheels [17inch]. So any advice would be very wellcome Steve
  5. Hi Mate

     I need your advice ?

I am in the process of buying a rear beam with discs,. But what in your opinion would be the best front discs for my Monte

For daily driving and the power output of the Monte grooved Brembo discs are a good choice. Economic and efficient. You could go for Zimmermann too if you find them at a competitive price. Combine that with a set of TRW brake pads (they are the factory ones) and you will have plenty of stopping power.

      Many thanks

Looking a set of vRS front discs - with the rear disc beam upgrade . I know it may not make a lot of difference to the braking performance - but you cant beet the look of rear discs [rather than drums]!!

      Again many Thanks

PS Glad you have joined the Oct 3vRS ranks.

      Steve

  6. Hi Ant LOVE the look, I think it would look at a lot better if the Skoda badges on the bonnet [and the boot] were removed. As I have had done. Just my personal opinion - 4 what’s its worth!! All the best . Steve
  7. Worked for me! My vRS sits on my drive for weeks, and since my upgrade always starts first time.
  8. Hi It is a known problem - mine had it. And had been fixed by Skoda. If you do a search on this forum, you should be able to find the details.
  9. Hi Guys The retrim cost £1140 - but I was a returning customer. Yes I am very pleased with the badge removal - so much so I got them to do then same on my Monte Steve

Steve
  11. Hi FYI, I have just a review camera fitted to my Monte [with a RNS315 headunit hat I fitted a while ago], and it works fine. Steve
  12. Hi I had both my vRS and Monte's badges removed before I took delivery. PLus I have also had the round Skoda badges removed from both the bonnet and tailgate. P.S. My monte is booked in at the body shop for the same on my Monte next week.
  13. Yes I do like that! I don't know if they will be able to do the stitching on the SW. But if you don't ask - you don't get!! Again many thanks for the input Steve
