  1. Going through the motions with Skoda at the moment. 2011 CAVE engine, 2.17L per 1000 miles oil usage from a consumption test and as we finished the test the engine went bang with holed #2 piston @ 45K miles with full SSH. They think £500 is a sufficient contribution for a replacement engine!
  2. No shims in mine, just a dab of grease on the back and anti 'moooo' springs.
  3. Spiders, I'm not a fan of multi-pcd no matter what the wheel looks like
  4. Might have more luck posting this question in Octavia II forum

    Petrol

Mine deffinitely 'feels' better, more responsive and smoother on the good stuff
  6. Picture please
  7. Audi TT front wheel drive and Quattro twin cats are different just to make things awkward. I think the 150/180 bhp front wheel drive ones are what you want but not 100% on that.
  8. I believe the compressor clutch is a common fail, not saying that's your problem though. Many tales of finding bits of the compressor clutch laying on the undertray when it's removed for any reason.
  9. You can get uprated alloy bushes for the linkage, tightens things up a treat. Draft42 iirc??
  10. Spax RSX coilovers on mine, surprisingly good on road and nice and firm once wound up a bit. Cast arms with full superpro bushes including castor correction. Adjustable rear tie arms, r32 FARB and Neuspeed RARB (required boot floor mod). Manual Haldex controller wired to dash switch, switch off = front wheel drive... switch on = permanent 4x4 (about 55/45 FR split).
