  1. It's extraordinary that people still fall for the endless stream of fake news climate change propaganda. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4362237-world-coffee-production-stays-ample-in-2019-20 Nearly every week the BBC etc. claims some or other crop or luxury will get more expensive or difficult to get because 'climate change'. And yet, despite obvious inter-annual variability, the size of the global harvest of nearly every crop you can think of rises relentlessly, not only that, but yields too, so less land is required. A few days ago the BBC was blaming climate change for a poor UK wheat harvest (yields are actually pretty average but less land was used because of the wet planting time, and other crops substituted). They said the price of bread/flour would go up - but bread wheat prices are controlled by the global market, and despite widespread (but not particularly unusual) squall damage in the USA , you guessed it, globally things are more than dandy. In fact total grain production is expected to be another record. https://www.igc.int/en/gmr_summary.aspx
  2. How predictable! https://climatelitigationwatch.org/wsj-editorial-board-nails-ny-ags-climate-fraud-debacle/
  3. Well worth reading back through the past articles here to see how the climate change industry operates and who is funding it. https://climatelitigationwatch.org/ e.g. https://climatelitigationwatch.org/genesis-of-a-shakedown-new-records-expose-childrens-marches-as-long-planned-component-of-litigation-campaign/ https://climatelitigationwatch.org/now-thats-a-timeline/ https://climatelitigationwatch.org/behind-the-scenes-of-climate-industry-week/ The Exxon case has shrunk to nothing and the rest of the claim will crumble to dust, not surprising as the whole case is entirely bogus. The scandal is the perversion/funding of the AGs and the production of BS climate attribution 'studies' to order.
  4. How people can spout such rubbish is beyond me. No one has ever died from climate change. The risk of dying from weather related natural disasters has probably never been lower, thanks to the climate optimum we enjoy and the technology and fossil fuels we exploit. XR's primary aim is not tackling climate change anyway, that's just the scam they use to dupe emotionally weak-minded deluded fools into creating anarchy for them. XR is a re-branded 'occupy' - the former anti-terror chief has branded them an extremist anarchist group.
  5. Describing any gas has having a greenhouse effect is scientifically illiterate because that is not technically how it works. It's as dumb as calling carbon dioxide - carbon, would you call water - double hydrogen? But using the climate scam lingo:- Yes CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Yes Methane is a greenhouse gas. Yes water vapour is a greenhouse gas! CO2 may produce a mild and entirely beneficial slight warming, the effect is logarithmic, so if 400-800ppm produced 1C of warming, you'd then need 1600ppm for the next 1C. The alarmists know this so conjured up a theory of imaginary feedbacks that they claim will produce dangerous warming - this of course only exists in their models. Historically earth's CO2 increases LAG global warming, so if natural warming caused CO2 to increase, and CO2 increased caused warming - the earth would be lifeless by now. The biggest risk to life on earth is LACK of CO2, it is still dangerously low and most plant groups on earth genetically prefer up to 1200ppm (this is why greenhouse growers enrich CO2). Methane can't have any significant effect, it's life is too short and it's quantity too low and the energy spectrum too overlapped. Strangely the world has become sunnier, which is a better correlation with temperature than CO2, this is likely due to the sun (particle seeding, not strength). If anyone believes the so called modern warm period is unusual, check out the Minoan, Roman and Medieval warm periods - all warmer than today, despite the climate scam industry's efforts to disappear, deny, cool, or localise the Medieval warm period, a scientific project has proven beyond doubt it was global and hot. Yes grapes grow in the UK (this is more a case of selecting the right varieties than the climate), but does Barley grow in Greenland now? In the UK at the end of the Roman warm period (400/450AD) the climate cooled so much that it became impossible to grow the same crops, and rain increased so much that roads that had existed for 100s of years first had to be banked up, then raised on stilts as the land became marsh. Yes the climate always changes. Try reading Climate History and the Modern World by Hubert Lamb, and you might wake up to the fact that you are being lied to. Even back in 1971 NASA thought if CO2 increased by a factor of 8 it might only produce 2C of warming. https://vademecum.brandenberger.eu/pdf/klima/rasool_schneider_1971.pdf The climate alarmist movement is a global totalitarian socialist coup attempt (Agenda 21, 2030) - witness the crazy proposed Green New Deal in the USA, it has nothing to do with climate.
  6. Currently China's coal power capacity is about 1020 GW, with a target of 1300 GW by 2030. China brought about 45GW online in 2018 alone - that's the same as the peak demand of the entire UK grid generating from all sources. China is also building and funding about 300 coal power stations around the world. It takes China about 10 days to emit as much CO2 as the UK does in a year. China's much exaggerated 'renewables' leadership is nonsense, their renewables are not even taking up their yearly increase in energy demand. Yes China dammed just about every river they could - it's immensely destructive of river ecology and not in the least 'green'. Wind turbines are currently meeting about 2% (0.7GW) of UK grid demand. That's 21GW of windmills all but becalmed countrywide since last Sunday. We are also using no coal. You see that's the other lie, it is chiefly gas (CCGT currently 61% of demand) that has displaced coal, not useless windmills and sunbeams. Either we get fracking or we will be begging Putin. (Remember we are just talking about electricity here, not gas used for heating which we are also supposed to be stopping using - peak gas demand is about 350GW, or 7 times peak electricity demand). And the entire UK will need 'rewiring' to plug in more than a few EVs per street - all the substations/transformers/cables will need to be upgraded. There is not a snowballs chance in hell that the UK or the world will ever be carbon neutral (unless you embrace nuclear). It is people spreading political 'fake news' about the effectiveness and penetration of wind/solar/EVs that is driving delusional public opinion and disastrous UK energy policies which have pushed up our bills massively and risk the lights going out.
  7. Fake news eats itself, you've got to laugh at the failure of such a blatant attempt to overturn democracy.
  8. Yep, so inept he exposed the climate change con, green group and MSM and Google collusion with one tweet. You should never judge your enemy by your own standard, you'll seriously underestimate him.
  9. Mueller nothingburger - did any of you seriously expect otherwise?
  10. When the BBC goes to the effort of producing an article to claim it would be very hard to 'game' the petition, that's as good as proof that it is being flooded by fraudulent signatories. As for how many millions sign, remember, according to the Remain camp, anyone that doesn't express a positive answer in a poll has to be added to the noes, so currently 41.5 million people are against revoking article 50!
  11. Diesel is always more expensive in winter, it's used for heating in a lot of places. There is also a lot less refining capacity these days. And there is, or likely to be, more demand for shipping with the requirement to install scrubbers or use cleaner fuel. There's a recent government report on the reasons behind the differential price, but I've lost the link, I'm sure someone can re-find it via Google.
  12. So, for all your mockery, Trump is right again. The recent wild fires can have nothing to do with climate change (man made or otherwise) - there is simply no significant change in the climate when all the data is crunched. Poor forest management, dangerous archaic electricity grid infrastructure, arson, and increased population, are the real reasons i.e. increased dangers of ignition and plenty of 'fuel'. In the final report on Napa Valley most of the large fires were causes by the electricity distribution network, and in the latest Camp fire a particular cable is already under investigation. What makes the governor's blame of climate change all the more disgraceful is his name is all over numerous reports on warnings on the risk of the 'ecological' management of brush and forests, and the long overdue updating i.e. burying, of the flying wire and pole electricity transformer and distribution system. When considering climate change in California, it may also interest you to know that it is the last 150 years that have been abnormal - which just happens to coincide with settlement and population - abnormally wet - and the true climate for thousands of years is actually one of mega-droughts.
  13. The Irish border is just another of many invented 'problems' being used to undermine Brexit. Would it have been a problem if Ireland had not opted out of Schengen like the UK? No. And there are already some border checks - there is a serial TV documentary on the service! There is absolutely no real world reason, especially with modern technology, why this border would be a problem. It's just a case of will, or rather deliberate intransigence. I'm sure the 'big plan' is to drag things out and make things as unpleasant as possible until the decision can be reversed. This is probably not too far from the truth. https://brexitcentral.com/shocked-i-say-appear-establishment-conspiracy-brexit/
  14. Meanwhile in the real world, and sooner than anticipated, in the next quarter, global oil demand will pass 100 million barrels per day for the first time ever! New renewable installations (solar/wind) are not even covering the increasing global primary energy demand, scraping 4%, and already making electricity prohibitively expensive - hence green policy has hit the buffers in Germany and Australia. And 'evil' Trump's USA, thanks to fracking gas, is the only major emitter reducing its CO2 emissions, whilst 'climate leader' China's, and most of the rest of the world's emissions, are accelerating away. And TESLA still hasn't made a year end profit! Somehow I think the future is not what this thread's main contributors think it will be.
  15. Ever wonder who owns the publishers behind these anti-Trump books? Yep, the same news organisations that expend all their energy trying to disrupt his presidency and discredit him in any way they can. Whatever you think about Trump, this is antidemocratic and sinister.
