  1. Ok so here's the deal guys and girls, I've been gone for a long time and I apologise for that. So far as the car is concerned I've changed basically nothing but I now have a new job with more money and time on my hands so instead of starting a new project car with a new car I am commiting to this one because as much as I need a bigger faster car I can't get rid of the citigo I just can't face it. So, I am going to purchase another car perhaps a high powered saloon or a 4x4 to use as my daily ride and also to tow the citigo with in a trailer. That is right ladies and gentleman at somepoint this car is going to go full project car style. I am now in the research and feesability stage. Engine swaps were my first idea. Tried a couple of companies and they want basically nothing to do with it so I'm going to have to go deep research on this myself to find out what engine I can put in it. I know there is a citigo out there with a 1.8T is it? Most Google answers come to the same conclusion that the easiest way to engine swap is to get an engine from the same manufacturer So, I know it's a Skoda but I know the engine is vw but they basically share the same DNA these days but I'm guessing a VW engine would be easier to get a hold of for cheaper considering they've been using them longer. However do I buy just an engine or do I go the whole hog and buy a donor car? Perhaps a 1.8T golf or something? I need help, the internet is not an easy place to navigate for such a rarely heavily modified car so I need help from my fellow Skoda owners and people that have done this before or something similar to point me in some sort of direction to begin Craig
  2. Nice to see your thread is still going along nicely dave keep up the citification haha (Citigo modification)
  3. Havent been on here for ages but basically nothing has changed due to lack of funds. I have all the plans and quotes in place but literally no money extra to do anything with it but at least its officially paid off and mine now
  4. Hey guys considering the amount of interst that is jusr for sunday only I am considering just booking a show stand for the sunday? What are your thoughts on this? I would still be going for the full weekend myself as is david (hyphons) I believe but just so there isnt 2 of us sat there on the Saturday im thinking it might be worthwhile. Could still have a group on the saturday to chill and camp
  5. Haven't decided on the stand size yet but it looks like we're going for a 10 or 15 car stand at the moment, depends if we get any more interest coming in as last time we had to make the stand bigger cos more people joined haha
  6. Saw a few dogs about on the day should be fine Hyphons has checked the website so it's all above board haha
  7. Looks about the same amount of interest as last year, not registered for a club stand yet as waiting to see whether more join
  8. That the fabia that came last time with that mental engine in it? And the polo Hyphons was desperate to steal the wing mirrors off? Lol
  9. Please add to the list whether you are coming for the full weekend or just the Sunday Didn't bother doing it for me and Hyphons cos I know we're both there for the weekend cos we're hardcore haha
  10. Ok so let's kickstart the list 1. CitigoSport2013 - Craig 2. Hyphons - David 3.
  11. Hey Guys, Given the massive success we had at this event last year with out club stand going well and everybody having a great time we are going to do it again! Who's up for round 2???? I loves the event and now I've been ill know a bit more about it and so everything should be even better this time because I can be more organised haha I know it's early but the sooner we get organised the less we have to worry about nearer the time This also gives people plenty of time to organise time off work etc. So nobody has any excuses :p It's a great event for all to enjoy from full families to just the usual petrol head club guys to couples There's plenty to do and loads of burger vans and other food choices so there's plenty of amenities Camping went great last year apart from the mud fest we had to drive to the stand in which meant all our work on cleaning the car was messed up by the time we got there and had to start again haha So join us for a great time all weekend with sun (hopefully), great cars and a fantastic show ground
  12. I'm back from the dead haha defo up for doing vw festival again we doing a stand again?
  13. Thanks guys It was a great weekend, Sunday definitely seemed to busy up some more haha All attendance much appreciated
