Cheers for the heads up. I got you completely. They only go in one way. Words of wisdom on this one is that you cannot have too much washing up liquid. Also, if anyone is interested, there is a variety of self made console bush removal and insertion tools for around £30. I took the plunge and it worked a treat. All in dismantle time 4 hours. Put back another 4 hours but I did the brake back plates and cleaned the brakes up too and the anti-toll bar bushes while I was in there. Worthwhile job. Second time round I would be quicker. A good way to re-insert the wishbone is to use a ratchet strap to provide the push required. Get your bushes done!!!!!!!! MOT time I guess

As per post in Roomster page, maybe get more hits here. How could I replace like for like front bush on the wishbones as a one piece. I am not interested in the super-pro or otherwise upgrade. I just want the original bush. I can see how I would be able to get it out with a press fashioned from some sockets. Would the reverse of this work for fitting the new bush. Bush looks like this: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Roomster_1.4_2008/p/car-parts/suspension-and-steering/suspension/suspension-bushes/?610440275&1&390c3a955b0960a8ff9979307951e9bbdc81b257&000437 How do you get it in, I guess that is my question? Excellent

Now then!! Joined up to find info on this topic. I will scan through the Fabia pages too. Here goes!!! For any mechanics of home mechanics more capable than myself, I am replacing the rear console bushes in the next week or so, I am happy with this process. However while the wishbonse are out of the car I intend to replace the front bushes also. I am not interested in the Super-pro upgrade, standard bushes are fine but how do you get them in. I can see how to get the old ones out with a improvised press (a couple of sockets of appropriate size and a vice or press. How do you get the replacements in though. Thay are a one piece design like this: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Roomster_1.4_2008/p/car-parts/suspension-and-steering/suspension/suspension-bushes/?610440275&1&390c3a955b0960a8ff9979307951e9bbdc81b257&000437 Can I just press these back in and rely on their newness for pliability and not damage them? Any hints or tips much appreciated.
