  2. Guys In all honesty it has been the worst car I have ever owned. I have driven some terrible cars in the past but nothing compared to this. I may have given it more time to repair the faults but the dealer was totally useless. Seems to spend more time on youtube with his project car than sorting customers problems. Strikes me as he is just playing at being a dealer at the expense of his family name/business. I drive a VW for work. Had no issues with JCT600 in Newark so thats where our Citigo will be going from now on.
  3. Bullit Thanks for you comments. Skoda as a company also let us down. Was only after VWFS stepped in that anything got sorted. We have a Citigo Monte Carlo that runs like a dream and now have it serviced at a VW dealer as Skoda were useless. My advice to anyone in the future who has problems with dealerships or large companies in general is to go to www.ceoemail.com and contact the ceo directly.

  7. I would never deal with Dennis Horton Skoda again and would recommend the same to anyone else. Had issues with my brand new Octavia vRS from day one. Arrived with a scratch on the bonnet that I pointed out when it was in the showroom. They wanted to paint the whole front of the car to blend the work in. Brand new? Respray? I think not. I demanded the bonnet be swapped for another in the showroom of the same colour. What a mistake. It took their bodyshop 3 attempts to align the bonnet correctly. Disaster! The radio was awful with no base whatsoever. Their "master technician" told me it was the type of music I listen too. LOL. Great diagnosis!!! Fine in my wifes Citigo!!!! The car was full of rattles and squeaks that they could not trace or eliminate. Misadvised on 5 year warranty. When doing the deal we arranged for my private plate to go on retention off my PX. This wasnt done and ended up with us almost losing the number plate as someone within the dealership had faked my signature on the V5 document to allow them to sell the PX on quickly. DVLA informed and Skoda UK. All in all a terrible dealership. I rejected the vehicle in writing directly to Oliver Horton who blatantly refused to accept there was any issue and refused the rejection. After contacting VWFS and a solicitor, VWFS arranged for a DEKRA vehicle inspection. The inspector was disgusted at the noises and build quality of the vehicle. VWFS have agreed to take the vehicle back for a full refund. It gets collected tomorrow and not a moment too soon. Oliver Horton is a rude and arrogant man. Thinks he is in a world of his own when it comes to customer service. My advice to anyone even thinking of walking into this dealership is to turn around and walk away. Dont even cross the threshold as it will be the worst mistake you will ever make doing business with Dennis Horton Skoda Lincoln.

As my vehicle is being returned, due to several issues that the dealer couldnt resolve, I have a full set of Climair dark smoke wind deflectors for sale. £30 for the full set of front and rears. Ideally would need to collect as parcel would be too large and fragile to post. I am based in Newark but travel all over the East Mids and North West with work so could possibly meet up somewhere if they are of interest to anyone?
  11. Ours fitted perfectly to the rear. Yes you have to drill the bumper but the look fine and ours is a White Monte Carlo.
  12. Well the day is finally approaching when my Octavia vRS is heading off for good. What a lovely car and I would have kept it for years had it not been for such a terrible build quality. Rattles and squeaks all over it and unbelievable road noise. Dennis Horton Skoda Lincoln could not fix the issues and refused to take the car back after rejection. But, after months of dealing with Skoda UK who also refused to take it back, I finally contacted VWFS CEO directly. What a difference!!! They arranged a DEKRA vehicle inspection which highlighted other issues as well as the ones I had pointed out. After their report VWFS have agreed to take the car back. I am sad to see it go but there is no way I could have lived with the issues any longer. And, Dennis Horton Skoda Lincoln too. Moral of my story would be never to deal in any way, shape or form with the above dealer. Terrible customer service and an arrogant managing director.
  13. It's amazing that people are so rude not to just own up. I fit cctv for so many people because of things like this. If anyone needs anything just give me a shout.
