  1. Has to be the darker anthracite ones.... Either get them painted or just dont wash them :) ;)
  2. Does anyone know if the DSG models, specifically the Edition model, come with the Steering wheel paddles for changing gear as standard ?
  3. Think it is quite common on this site, I assumed they had great deals but only at certain mileages etc. I guess a phone call would clear it up.. Obviously, taking it at the lower price with lower miles and paying the mileage penalty would still be a very good deal I guess.
  4. When you change back to 10K, just refresh and it reverts back to £189
  5. Is that for the 190 or 150bhp engine. Either way, looks a good deal.
  6. Milton Keynes Skoda called me to see if I wanted to go to the Koidaq Launch/event, but not until February. They said it will be a static car on display (ie no drives available) and will likely be left hand drive. Perhaps the same car(s) will be doing a round robin appearance at dealerships in limited numbers.
  7. I have seen several of these "retractable" towbars on several car makes now and none seem to have a cover on the Ball itself. I know it tucks away, but salt, water and muck will still find its way to the retracted position. Would need a very thorough and good clean before hooking up to a trailer/caravan that has a stabiliser. All the grit on the towball would ruin the stabiliser pads in no time. Would also need to remove all the black paint before using the first as well with a stabilizer, which without a cover would go rusty in no time. No biggie as you can get a cap/cover from anyway, just strange it appears that one is not supplied. Even with a cover a quick wipe over is not a bad idea with some brake cleaner or similar.
  8. So, does anyone know in reality why the weights drop for the 7 seat version. Obviously, the addition of two small back seats dont increase the cars weight by 500kilo, so why the drop in 500 kilo to the tow weight. Same with the nose weight... two little seats in the back are not going to alter the affect in the rear suspension and i doubt the rear suspension components are different. A trip to B&Q and a couple of bags of sand in the boot would be no different. Are they applying these lower limits in the assumption you may be carrying extra weight in the form of rear passengers ? If so, why... It is fair to say if you have the back seats up and a couple of people sitting in them, you now are very limited in rear cargo payload. I am sure that when we go away with the caravan, the weight of the gear in the car added to the two dogs in the boot of around 40 kilos, will be at least as much as a couple of rear most passengers would be. I would be very interested to see the reasoning behind this anomaly, it may be there is a valid reason I am not aware of. anyone ?
  9. Interesting that local dealers are matching Simpsons etc.. Think I may pop over to have a chat with my locals tomorrow, see what they have to say :)
