This has been done about a million times I guess but after about 10 years for first getting the itch for a vrs I am looking to buy one. I havnt had a car for about 4 years 😂 and we just make do with one. I usually cycle to work everyday. But new job lots off overtime in winter and different time shifts I am looking for a cheapish 5 door winter car.so this is we’re I can scratch my vrs itch. I am probably looking at about £2000 my budget. I obviously want the best I can afford. Will I get a good spec one for the price? I notice they are mostly over 100k. Anything I should be looking for? I would like a 2006 or 2007 plate. Any help would be great. Cheers

Well after the interview on the Wednesday I got a phone call on the Friday saying I had the job. Have had to work my months notice. So Started new job today had a really good day. Looking forward to tomorrow. Usually work 8 till 5 a 20 min drive away but now its 7.30 to 4 and it's a 5 min drive away. So goin to get a bike soon as its 3 miles away. A guy cycles 10.5 miles to get there. Any ways Very happy :-)

Thank you all. I think I will just look into buying a good second hand bike. There's a few decent ones on gumtree eBay etc. Maybe couple off hundred for a decent one? Bike will just be used to work and back. Flatish road. Doesn't need carbon forks and suspension just yet lol.

So how does the cycle to work scheme work? Goin to be commuting three miles to work next week from now on. No point in having a car. Looking to start biking it. Not sure weather to start now or just wait till after Xmas. Three, Miles doesn't seem too much to do day in and day out. Been 14 years since I have been able to cycle or walk to work so looking forward to it :-) just need a bike. Lol

Who cycles to there work? How far is there commute? Everyday or just in good weather? Does anybody do a cycle to work scheme with there work place? Please share.

Yeah I did! It's was right down the bumper. I was abit gutted it was over so quick Within a lap. I think it would off been very interesting if turkington had gotten past Jackson. Well done one on ash tho he has carried the weight well, qualified well. Raced well. Deserved champion. I think the likes off Neal and Plato could be past it and we're starting to see the new young guns such as Sutton, goff Ingram.

Well it's went down to the last race off the season. I think maybe Turks move on Moffat was a bit push to pass. See how or if it gets delt with? Sould be really close and good there starting two places apart. :-).

Thank you both. It's an amenity operative for the local council. Working hours are much better than current job. That's what it all about :-)

Have an interview next week for a post I would really like. Weird thing is that it's the third time I have had one there. Not sure what to think off it as if they didn't want me the 1st or 2nd time why have they asked me back for a third? Been two years since the first one. So I am really revising my answers this time and hoping its third time lucky! :-)

Down to two now. How does everybody think brands will pan out? How will they qualify? Will Sutton and Turks get a hand off teammates? If it does I see Turks having collard and aj around him more than Sutton has jp round him. Think it's going to be close and I can't really pick a winner but although Turks has the last day experience etc. I think Sutton will win it. Drove great all year. Carries the weight really well. And never gives up. Sutton and by two points. :-)

Sheddon and collard have quite a poor qually. Sutton and Turks start 10th and 8th with more weight. Think it's between those two now. Unless they have a dnf today.

Silverstone free practice underway. Going to be a very important qualifying session today. :-)

Depending how many points flash can gain at silverstone. I think it's between ash and turks. Flash will have to score 9 points a race over ash to win the championship. He will be third heaviest weight for qually so has to have a huge lap and out score them The first race to have any chance. Turks hasn't got a helpful team mate as collard will be all out for his slim title hopes. We see ash Sutton qualify well and he will have Plato or even Cole to help him. Flash needs to be within 25 points going To brands hatch. But as we know it's the Btcc and anything can happen. As long as it goes to the last race with two in with a shout I will be happy :-)
