MOT Fail. leaking rear brake calliper

Ok thanks for that. You wouldn't happen to know the part number? I've seen some painted ones on Amazon. Having them refurbished could be an option too, £45 plus £10p&p apparently. -
Hi, My 2010 vrs TDi has just failed on a leaking offside brake calliper. Any tips where to get hold of one? Have started the search but just wondered what others have experienced- thanks for any help

Hi guys Took my 2010 vrs tdi in for service and they gave me a list of advisories some of which I knew about and some I didn't. Basically new front shocks, front discs and pads are in order plus the lower suspension rear rubber console bushes have perished. I've done a search on here and I like the idea of popping in an S3 bush but my question relates to changing the associated bolt. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can buy replacement bolts as I've read its a good idea to do it when changing the bushes. Many thanks for your help

Thanks for the links but I have paid cars-equipment so I'm not overly keen on buying another until I get my money back or should I say if. Would like to warn others about the company too!

Hi guys I changed my Bolero head unit for a Columbus recently so I obviously required a new fascia. For peace of mind I ordered one from MK Skoda but after a two week wait I rang them on it's whereabouts and they informed that they did not have it and had no idea when they would have any. I did a search on Briskoda and cars-equipment was recommended so I placed an order and after 3 weeks a FEDEX box arrived only for the wrong fascia to be in there!!!! I got in touch and was told a replacement had been sent out and that they were sorry it was due to a workers mistake. I'm still waiting after 26 days/18 business days and when I chase them up I only occasionally receive a response from a guy via his iPhone telling me it's been sent. The company have been very poor from the start and I have lost patience with them - has anyone had similar experiences or can recommend what I can do. Thanks for any suggestions. Rob

I've just had a look on the shark website, although on my phone, and cannot see any mention of the January discount? Am I missing something? Cheers -
I've just brought a Columbus unit from Rustynuts on here - very helpful guy. I've brought the following fascia as my car currently has the original unit fitted. http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/navigations/oem-1z0858069dkdf1-navigation-aluminium-trim-for/ So once the parts arrive hopefully I can pop it in easy enough and then have it coded. The best information I've found on here so far is contained in this link http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/240409-columbus-vcds-procedure/

Thanks for all your responses guys - exactly the information I was after.

The are a few sets on eBay with the following dimensions: 5x112 16x6.5J with an offset of 50 Would they simply fit on? There is another set with a slightly different offset of 51 - Does offset matter? Sorry for the dumb questions :-(

Thanks for the responses - So I could search for 205/55-16 tyres on a 6-1/2 inch rim and they'll be fine to replace the existing 18" rims. Thanks

Hi I have just brought a 2010 TDi VRS estate Octavia minus a spare wheel. I've done a search on here last night but I've read contrasting information - can someone please clear up the wheel size that I can use for a spare (As there is none) and what size wheel I can buy to use in winter. For the latter I have read 16" will fit, I've also read the offset is ET51, the PCD is 5x112 and the centre bore is 57.1mm and that I should be able to find VW and Audi wheels on eBay. I have read 6 and 6.5 for rim width but when I add 6 to rim width on eBay there is hardly anything for sale compared to 6.5 where there are 100s So could someone confirm what size I can fit (with all the dimensions) on the car and thus look online for a set of wheels. Plus any recommendations for a spare. I'd really appreciate it as I end up going round in circles. Thanks
