  1. Got mine from here last November.. (for the Mk1 vRS, AUQ engine) Parts in Motion | Quality Car Parts | Free UK Delivery Part number was (still is?) 0280218340 They will check compatibility. And it's not an exchange unit like most are these days either.
  2. I have the Ramair kit on mine... if you're expecting induction roar you may be disappointed. Sounds a bit more wheezy generally. When 'giving it some', you get a pssshhh from the turbo coming off the gas at full throttle.
  3. Probably 2nd hand... they do come up from time to time (usually when I'm potless) with the added advantage that the pipework should be a straight fit. New, wellycooler seems to get mentioned a lot (no idea where to buy). Don't know what the quality is like on the ebay or Aliexpress kits.
  4. My understanding is that FMIC is still the way forward.. there are uprated (thicker, fully aluminium) SMIC but they aren't as good as an FMIC.. What I haven't worked out/found out (yet) is ideal size for bhp (or whether it's simply a case of go as big as you can) or best place to buy..
  5. They don't touch letters, or packages left in the hallway. The decimation happens when small packages are brought into the lounge and left within reach.
  6. Following on from this, the replacement arrived a couple of days ago (while I was at work).... Got home to find one of the dogs thought it may have been for them. 3rd time's the charm??
  7. Got new (blue tinted) door mirror glass... snapped 2 clips (on the same corner) on the left hand one so now I have mismatched mirrors and have to order another one.
  8. Rear carpets are limited options surely... Door seals and/or that plastic film stuff behind the door cards... I'll just replace the lot if I can source it and it doesn't cost me an internal organ.
  9. Ta mate... searched on Comfort, not Komfort.... typically.. Always misplacing my depinning set so usually just order a new set. Searching for part numbers for all the wet weather seals for the rear doors at the mo, carpets are wet so I'm just going to replace the bloody lot... Car almost went up for sale 2 days ago when the windscreen was frozen on the inside. Pi$$ed me right off.
  10. At least I think that's what it's called.... When you tap the indicator stalk you get 3 flashes of the indicators. Anyone fitting the wiring kit? Mine arrived today, alleged to fit, also alleged to be incredibly simple, instruction manual is completely German. Anyone know of an English manual or source of an English how2?
  11. Been trawling 7zap for 2 hours and getting nowhere.. 💥 My carpets are damp in the front and wet in the back... I'm pretty sure it's the door rubbers on the body (judging from where I see the water run from the other day) but I'm looking to change all potential culprits.. So, if anyone has the part numbers for the plastic covers that go on the doors behind the cards and the rubber seals that go on the body (and the doors if there's any there) I'd be very grateful. I think that should fix it....... I'll keep looking in the meantime... thanks 👍
  12. Nice!! I've just been contacted by an old pal from Southend who's an excellent sprayer (and welder).. He's offered to sort our cars for materials cost if we want.. He's also offered to build me a baja bug but that's a different story entirely 😆
  13. Fitted the new MF and cleared the codes.. lovely!! Went for a blast (read: drove like a tit for a bit) and, for the first time EVER (in any car) hit full limp mode, at speed, in lane 2 of the A14. 2 Faults Found: 16487 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) P0103 - 35-10 - Signal too High - Intermittent 17743 - Engine Torque Monitor 2 P1335 - 35-00 - Control Limit Exceeded Readiness: 0010 0000 Mild panic set in and I thought it was proper broke........ but it just needed switching off and on. Phew!!
  14. Ordered a new MAF today, should be here tomorrow.. it's not completely fubar but it is, apparently, well on its way.
