  1. £149 for an oil & filter change less than an hours work, not a bad hourly rate is it
  2. Hi All My Fabia is due for its 1st service, basically oil & filter change, oh and a free wash if i am lucky !, Now my problem is with the selling dealer who i feel have shafted me a few times  (but thats another story) the service plan that they offered me seemed to be a bit on the high side price wise & figures did,nt add up, so i declined, now as i work in a bodyshop i am of the mind to do the service myself, my question to you good people is, 1. can i turn off the oil/service warning light/message myself if so how do i do it ? 2.is there a section on this forum you can point me to for the instructions ? 3.will the service message appear again when the next service is due ? thanks in advance
  3. i was interested reading some of the above comments about your service charges, i bought my fabia new from a well known dealership in derby as opposed to my previous purchases in chesterfield (i have the serious hump with the chesterfield dealer) thats why i went to derby and i was really happy with the whole process, my questions and concerns where all answered to my satisfaction, i asked about a service plan,to which they produced a 31 month plan, which came to a total of £669 !!! but they did say its like a savings plan and i can transfer it to another car at a later time Mmm i thought as i got my fingers truly burnt with my octavia i will give this a miss, after all i can put £10 a month in the tea caddy instead of their bank and looking at the figures you guys have come up with i am glad i did. so the moral is to my story as a lot have you say,is to shop around
  4. Hello Peeps, been contemplating getting a centre arm rest for my 2016 fabia monte carlo but have been quoted £130 for the genuine item, but I came across this on ebay, it looks a decent option, does everything that the genuine arm rest does, I was wondering if any of you guys have bought one and what are your thoughts ? on a separate note what are the arm rests like to fit is it a matter of popping out the the tray in the handbrake console and using the captive nuts that are there ???http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-III-3-FIT-CENTER-CONSOLE-ARMREST-ARMREST-FABRIC-COVER-BLACK-TEXTILE-/391426654888?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda%7CModel%3AFabia&hash=item5b22d8c2a8:g:w1EAAOSwx-9WybtM
  5. Hi all just joined this forum, i have just bought a 2016 Fabia Monte Carlo, and i was wondering if there is a way of using google maps/drive off my android phone via bluetooth ? i can connect the phone by USB cable through the smart link mode, but this completely mutes the radio on the car, whilst the radio screen display works as a sat nav route display. i was wondering if anyone can recommend a downloadable app that can be used by in car bluetooth, i know there is some skoda apps out there but can anyone advise which one i need ? thanks in advance for any advice
