Thanks peachy i think that’s what I’m going to do, just buy new tyres and put them on the yeti17s

Thanks guys I’ll have ponder and maybe ask my tire guy and see what he thinks. I’m very risk adverse and would hate an insurance claim to be voided by me being tight/ silly. I’ve got a few months to think about it. Thanks again

Ah ok, so the wheels will fit but I will need to change the tyres? They only had one more winter in them anyway.

Hi Skoda Guru’s my wife’s just sealed the deal on a karoq sel on 18 inch wheels. my question is, will the 17 inch winter wheels that we’ve been using on her yeti fit on it? They are 225 50 17, it would be awesome if they did. Thanks in advance tom

speedy2 replied to SurreyJohn's topic in Škoda Kamiq
Does anyone know if the kamiq will come with varioflex seating? This would make it top of the list when we come to change our yeti. None of the car show ones seem to have it, which would be a shame. -
there is a guy on you tuber called tesla Bjorn who drives his tesla in Norway (and I mean he really drives it to the extreme ) he recently slept overnight in -36 with the tesla in "camp mode" which keeps the heater on all night it used about 13 kilometres per hour. his model x has a theoretical range of 400km + so in a tesla at least they would be fine for quite a while it would seem.

Just had a bit of moment myself. Going down a snowy Lane with the Nokian d4s On the yeti when a car comes the other way I stop he doesn't! He came at me like a missile I turned as much as I could and luckily so did he! He ended up by my rear window up on the bank with I'm sure some deep scratches from the hedge. So scary ! In that situation unless both of you are winters it really doesn't matter !

I did wonder because the officer on sky news said even theservice drivers were struggling. I did wonder if the tyres would be the reason.

Just wondering when I was in the army I don't remember landys using special tyres, just stock ones in the winter. Are land rover tyres winter biased ? The army/raf getting called out to help the police today got me thinking.

I put Nokian weatherproofs on on my sons fabia and I had them on my old Octavia. They have good write ups and so far seem brilliant. May be Worth a adding to your list mate

i'm away from home working so I have limited info and my wife went with him to buy it. I will try to find out a bit more info but what I do know is it's 2015 with 11000 miles... he's driven it again now and all seems fine, they are going to send a letter with a full explanation apparently.

just an update for those who are interested...yep water pump had gone... so my best guess is that it was traded in with this issue happening but the previous owner hadn't reported it. The cars then sat on the forecourt my son buys the car, the recall comes that same week, they do the coolant change and don't do a test drive because they are under pressure to get the car ready because we were already a week late. does this sound plausible? btw it didn't overheat until they started driving at the national speed limit so a short drive around town would not have flagged this up.

thanks they took it on Friday and are waiting for parts I will let you know what they say .

ah sorry didn't account for that.

I don't know anything about the bike rack but to get our dog in and out of our yeti we simply fold one of the seats up and the dog jumps in through the passenger door. hope that gives you less restrictions with the bike rack .
