  1. If you can't get the units out, twist them 45 degrees, there's a third T20 screw on the back of the reflector holding a fork that engages with the adjuster shaft. As remarked above, extend the shaft fully before reassembling. Have some long-nose pliers for when you drop bits inside the headlamp...
  2. The central locking was intermittent, and sometimes the whole system would go into a loop with all the doors locking and unlocking. Temporary fix was to take out the fuse, but the interior lights and fuel flap are on the same one. Turned out there were three big connectors plus a rear screen-wash hose behind a panel inside the tailgate on the near side. The hose had been leaking and the connectors were under water and corroded away. Replaced the whole lot with bullet connectors, cable ties round the hose connectors, and supported all the wires higher up in case of a future leak. Sorry if this is a repeat, but I couldn't find any other reference to it.
  3. Good guide - pity those sliders are so cheap'n'nasty. But with any luck, they'll last a while.
