  1. You can find gear ratios in http://www.skoda-auto.rs/models/new-fabia/Documents/Katalog FABIA III.pdf on page 54. I'm not exactly sure how to interpret these so I'll leave that to somebody else
  2. Ah I think this might have to do with the fact you have Amundsen, I think bluetooth has insufficient bandwidth for screen sharing but Amundsen has wifi that is probably being utilized for this purpose. Are you using the wifi capability on the Amundsen unit? If not it could also connect via bluetooth first and negotiate wifi authentication on the background but you'll probably see wifi icon on your phone even if this is the case.
  3. I was unable to find more details about this online, is this something that was introduced in Android 7.1.2? Also are you using Bolero or some other head unit?
  4. I got OBDeleven pro ( https://obdeleven.com/ ) which I think can do almost anything a real VCDS can, and at least a ton more than Carista can. I've done a bunch of modifications (Needle sweep, adjusting hill hold to only work on steeper hills, coming/leaving home to fog lights, front wiper park after ignition off, headlight washer only if stalk is held for over 2.5 seconds, register plate lights dim when boot is open, ...) with it just following the guides for VCDS and they all work. Requires a bit more involvement to find the required adaptations than Carista thought, but also gives you ability to do backups, which I think is not possible with Carista.
  5. I came across a nice list of tweaks on a German forum, it's a bit hassle to use with all the copy-pasting to google translate but seems to include some stuff not mentioned here: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=3AE6945C79E4C9E!6636&ithint=onenote%2c&app=OneNote&authkey=!ADQH2YqqqP0zcUU For example page titled "Standlicht der Rückleuchten zusammen mit Tagfahrlicht" seems like it will turn on the tail lights in the shape of :) as DRL:s, haven't tested it yet though as it's too dark in Finland for the car to use DRL:s pretty much ever.. BTW, is it possible to adjust the sensitivity of the light sensor to get DRL:s when it's darker? The car has a setting for automatic lights in infotainment and it's already set to late but I'd like to get DRL:s in even less light.
  6. Hey guys, my first post here. I have had a Fabia for a couple of months with ACC and I just wanted to address some points above: ACC does apply brakes when going downhill even if there's nobody in front, mine is set to the most economic setting and allows exceeding the set speed by 2km/h before it applies some brake. Also to my surprise if you spec ACC you lose regular CC and SL which is kind of weird, I only have the speed limiting thing in multi function display which only beeps at you and doesn't cut off acceleration when exceeding the set speed. No problems with paper bags as of yet, but in very heavy snowfall (I live in Finland) the system will refuse to work. It doesn't even work as regular CC which kinda sucks, but luckily this has happened only once for about 10 minutes. I'm overall very happy with ACC and it's definitely a must have in the future, but just wanted to let you know that it's not as smooth as I'd like when people regularly change lanes in front and exit to ramps. The system is quite fond on keeping the distance to the car in front and sometimes brakes quite heavily when somebody changes lane too close to you and a human driver would just allow the cars closer for a while. Also when the car in front exits to the ramp ACC sometimes thinks you are still following it and applies brake. I think this is because the system works in bends so it has to allow some lateral movement of the car in front. So on a motorway where people rarely exit and change lanes it's very good, but on ring roads etc. it could use some smoothing. Yet I still use it nearly every day on the ring I road around Helsinki (The busiest road in Finland) and am very happy with it.
