  1. I'm going to be filling up tomorrow after having done 402 miles so far with 30 miles left on the tank range display. Thats with an average of 37.2mpg. Mostly A and B roads and country lanes. Thats my second tank, my L&K has now done about 760 miles. Pretty happy with fuel economy so far.
  2. Its a 6 speed manual. The 1.4tsi L&K only comes with the manual I believe. Have heard that DSG boxes are generally a tad more thirsty than manuals anyway? Real MPG 32mpg sounds a bit low to me. If im getting 36 after just 500 miles of driving then surely it wont go backwards from there? Also how could they advertise the MPG Combined as being 40-42 if it was actually down in the low 30's?
  3. I also took delivery of my 1.4tsi L&K at the beginning of the month. I was told not to expect more than about 36mpg at best. I've covered about 550 miles so far and on my first tank i averaged about 32mpg, however on the second tank im now seeing 36.7avg and its slowly climbing. I've heard that some people have seen MPG increases after about 4k miles. Im coming from a very thirsty 2.4 petrol volvo so im happy with anything over 30mpg. Im mainly driving a 15 mile country lane and B road commute, so plenty of gear changes and hills thrown in. Not really going over 60mph but consistently averaging 36-37mpg.
  4. Great shout about the SD card. Ill write myself a checklist of everything I need to check on delivery. Amazing deal on PCH. £2000 depost followed by 23 payments of £121. Works out at £4800 over the term, based on 8k per year mileage. I simply couldn't say no! Thanks all
  5. Great advice. Thanks guys. Falmouthboy thats a very good point and ill be sure to make note of that if the car is delivered uncovered, as i expect it will. Just thought of another question: - Will the car come with mats? I've not been told either way.
  6. Hi All, Next Tuesday (31st) I take delivery of my 1.4TSI 150bhp L&K in Quartz Grey. Its being delivered to me on a trailer. I have a couple of questions im hoping you can help me with, i think i have a relatively good idea but im bound to overlook something pretty obvious. 1. What kind of checks do I need to do upon delivery of the vehicle? (The vehicle is on a 2 year personal hire contract if that helps). 2. Basically, how do I drive a vehicle with a brand new engine in it? The car will arrive with likely less than 10 miles on the clock and i dont want to damage it by driving like a plonker. Also, anything else you can think of! Many thanks, Jim
  7. My deal is a 2 year lease. PCH, Not hire purchase. So I have the car for 2 years then hand it back to Skoda. I might be given the option to extend the lease on the vehicle at the end of the term.
  8. Think you've got your maths mixed up a bit there. The simspons deal works out at £5227 over the 2 years. Thats actually quite a lot for the L&K yeti. A few months ago they were dirt cheap on lease. Around £4500 over 2 years for a 25k car. Mine works out at £4783 for the entire 2 years. The lease prices increased along with excess mileage cost on the 22nd of November last year, not sure why but i remember i was urged by Horton Skoda to order before the 22nd of Nov because they "hinted" at a price increase, and sure enough they were right.
  9. What a bloomin' nightmare that is. No idea how some orders seem to take so much longer than others. Yes they might be ordered from different companies but all orders go to the same place surely. Maybe dealers orders are prioritised over third party businesses. Hopefully they can get your L&K registered quickly for you and get it to you early feb. Fingers crossed!
  10. You've done well there. Its gone up again now to about 8.8ppm. Glad i ordered when i did.
  11. I've now had a confirmed delivery on the 31st of Jan. Had my registration and lease contracts through yesterday so it's all coming together. Gutted for some of you guys who's been waiting months and months! Makes me want to avoid these leasing websites in the future. My deal was from Horton Skoda in Lincoln. I went to them with a quote from a third party website and thankfully they matched it. I'd advise anyone interested in leasing to do that too.
  12. Deposit is £2000 and the mileage allowance is 8k a year. Excess mileage charge is 7.2ppm. I'll definitely go over the mileage allowance by a few thousand but the excess charge is pretty cheap so shouldn't be a problem. This was a deal from Horton Skoda in Lincoln. At first I saw the deal on the Simpsons Skoda website but i was tipped off by members of a leasing forum that Horton usually beat Simpsons and indeed they did. £5 cheaper monthly at Horton and no holding fee. Simspons wanted a £400 holding fee when i placed the order! Plus Horton are delivering the vehicle to me on a trailer, whereas Simpsons require you to pick the vehicle up from Preston, which is a nightmare when im coming from south wales. My L&K is being delivered to me on the 31st of Jan.
  13. That might go some way to explaining why L&K's have been going so cheap on lease deals. Mines costing £121 a month which is barmy. Glad I got my order placed in November! Yes it seems they're potentially getting ready for the new Yeti to emerge, although I thought that wasn't due for a while yet.
  14. The L&K ive ordered on lease is Quartz Grey. I was deciding between Quartz Grey, Jungle Green and Business Grey. Still dont know if i made the right choice as im yet to pick up the vehicle but i have seen some Quartz Grey yetis out on the roads and they do look great. I decided against jungle green because it reminded me of my mums old snot green freelander which was dreadful. Also the paint on that car aged terribly and faded into a sort of matte green within a couple of years. The grey should age better and does look quite executive with the silver alloys, mirrors and roof bars on the L&K. Ill let you know what my Quartz Grey looks like when i get it on the 31st of this month.
  15. Hi All, Ordered a 1.4TSI L&K Manual from Horton Skoda on the 17th November. Didnt hear anything until 16th of December when I received an email telling me that my yeti was due to be built week commencing 19th of Dec. Thankfully before the Christmas factory shutdown. Received an email today informing me that my Yeti had just arrived in the UK and I can choose delivery anytime from the 30th of Jan. So ive requested Jan 31st and i cant wait! So all in all thats pretty much 10 weeks wait which is much faster than i anticipated, especially with the shutdown over Christmas.
