  1. Local dealer should be able to print it out for you, Henry's Skoda used to be decent but ain't used them in a while now after a bad experience, Arnold Clark could also do it but not the easiest company to deal with. I'm pretty sure you can access the digital service history on Erwin it just costs some money
  2. Not all TPS branches will sell to the public due to being trade only but some will without issue.
  3. TPS will supply them but you will likely need to call them with the part numbers, can also use Euro car parts.
  4. No reason you can't do it on your driveway it will just be a little more awkward. Having had them replaced under warranty several times I feel your pain. This auto doc video should be almost the same process as the Octavia. From memory on Erwin you can buy an hour's access and download the repair manual.
  5. Surely before replacing any parts they should have checked the internals for any damage due to the belt jumping. Seems crazy to me that they would start replacing parts without actually checking for internal damage.
  6. Interesting that on Mannol's own site they spec the AF12+ for the Octavia 3 which is the same colour as the VW stuff. Who knows to be honest.
  7. crazy that one company decides to colour their G13 coolant differently from all the other manufacturers. personally i would stick to the proper VW spec coolant as you know it meets the requirements.
  8. I have never seen G13 coolant in any colour other than pink/violet, even euro car parts own g13 is the same colour as vw's own. Had a quick Google and found this, it says VW compatible but i personally wouldn't know.
  9. The super Skoda one is a genuine Skoda item so it's guaranteed to fit, not sure if the eBay one is a genuine item, there is every chance it could be though. Could also get a price from your dealer if there's no rush. I got mine from my dealer when I got my Octavia.
  10. Hopefully it's an easy fix, I changed my coolant expansion tank purely to save any issues.
  11. Sometimes Skoda will offer a goodwill contribution to repairs with a full dealer history, but not sure how it works as I had a hard enough time getting work done while under warranty even worse when warranty only had 6 months left 😂😂
  12. No harm in flushing the system through, the heater matrix may need replacing if it's blocked and cant be flushed. I'm guessing that you are out of warranty ?
  13. Chances are your coolant expansion tank has "mit Silikat" on it and has the silicate bag in the tank. Possibly it has ruptured blocking your heater matrix
  14. That part number is the same as my new one supplied by my dealer, I wouldn't worry as I would imagine all old stock will be gone now, when I ordered mine it was on back order but there was one in the dealer network local to me. Euro carparts will have one as will autodoc if you don't mind waiting a bit longer. VW had probably been hoping they failed out of warranty so they can charge £££ to replace parts.
  15. By removing it you would have to introduce a coolant change interval, but it's much better than suffering issues due to the silicate bag/repository leaking and causing issues
