  1. Got two tickets this morning for Thursdays launch of the vRS. Was thinking of going to make a trip down and visit family down there so will make my first trip to FOS with my free tickets. Wonder what the gifts will be?
  2. Been looking for seat covers to fit over the vRS seats for sometime. This week i ordered one of these http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Auto-Car-Styling?_trksid=p4340.l2563 It not bad quality made of waterproof nylon and the Skoda badge isn't too naff and fits over the seats easily. Should keep the seats clean during the working week. Scroll down and you'll find the covers with the Skoda badge
  3. Depends on the size of the wheels, between 50 and 70 pounds a wheel includes tyre removal and fitting.
  4. Thanks prolfe for putting up my pictures. thought i was doing well putting on the photobucket link lol
  5. no not a cat c as was repairable so won't show up in insurance records. Nice wheels Harry, anthracite the way to go
  6. got them done at D&W wheel restorers in Newburgh just north of Aberdeen. Wheels dipped and powder coated and I'm very happy with the finish.
  7. Stopped to assist at an accident and was hit by a Mini but happily no one was hurt. Like having a new car today
  8. I took the plunge and opted for anthracite on my silver vRS FL. very happy with the result. http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j426/pedd6/?action=view&current=DSC00315.jpg http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j426/pedd6/?action=view&current=DSC00314.jpg
  9. After 11 weeks of waiting I finally picked up my repaired car today. While it was in getting repaired I took the opportunity to have my wheels refurbished and powder coated anthracite. I am very happy with the repair and how the car looks with the new wheel colour. http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j426/pedd6/?action=view&current=DSC00246.jpg http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j426/pedd6/?action=view&current=DSC00314.jpg http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j426/pedd6/?action=view&current=DSC00315.jpg
  10. Had two Fabia vRS and needed a bigger car so ordered an Octavia vRS CR FL on reviews and what I read here. First time I drove one was on the way back north to Aberdeen from Mansfield. Smiled all the way!
  11. Just giving a shout out to D & W Wheel Restorers in Newburgh near Ellon, Aberdeenshire. Wheels chemically dipped, blast cleaned, powder coated baked and lacquared. First class job and I'm very pleased.
  12. I've had exactly the same problems with two of my alloys on my FL vRS. When I pointed this out as a warranty claim I was told Skoda UK wouldn't look at it. I have subsequently had my wheels stripped right back and powdered coated. When I picked them up from D&W wheels restorers in Newburgh (Aberdeenshire) Martin told me that when he dipped them the 4 wheels had been done twice in that a base coat and top coat was found under the first basecoat and top coat. Martin was unsure whether the first attempt was so bad that the second was necessary but he did say that the reason my chips were so big and deep was because of the number of layers covering the wheel. I was also told that the wheels were quality items aside from the poor finishing
  13. Pointed out my chipped alloys at my service and was told that Skoda wouldn't look at them as a warranty claim. The wheels have never been kerbed and the chips were on the spokes of the alloys. Took them in today to get blasted and powder coated in anthracite, which includes the whole wheel and not just the outer face as at present. not been impressed with the toughness of finish of the original.
  14. Another shout for Danny Taylor and the boys at Victoria garage in Maud. Have had my two Fabia vRS and presently Octavia vRS FL serviced and repaired there for 7 years and can't big them up enough.
