  1. the noise comes from the motor flaps of the climatronic. if you want to stop it you need vcds in order to reset the basic settings for every motor flap.
  2. the engine is the same bore/ stroke and capacities but the electronics and the peripherals are completely different. The old engines are euro 2 -3 and the avu and bfq are euro 4
  3. mine mk1 has canbus and I found it when I fixed a window regulator I didn't push the connector all the way in and I had a canbus comm error.
  4. If the km you say are real it won't cost you much till the 200000km after that mine needed a lot to be done on the cooling system and the front suspension.

  9. There is a metalic clip that holds the breather locked in place you have to pull it out in order to remove it.
  10. Yes they fit, i have done it on mine, both of them are hard to remove and after that you have to remove completely the double side tape in order to fit properly the new ones.
  11. I had the same fault and all i had to do is to reseat the connector for the window mechanism which i had recently fixed.
  12. one or more glowplags era not working that is why your car isnt starting.
  13. You have to completely remove the old adhesive in order to install the new one .
