  1. I used AP Automotive in Telford, they are a Shark Dealer, so got my shark map without having to travel so far!
  2. just untick the box save then retick the box save
  3. Those do seem cheap mine from a dealer was 55 quid
  4. Ive got 16" Steelies on my VRS for winter, because the sidewall is quite big compared to the 18"s it has as standard i hardly notice potholes or poor tarmac and they still seem to grip and handle nearly as well as my alloys, 16" is the bare minimum to clear the calipers too
  5. Mines got a Stage one remap so the torque curve is different, I tend to be in 4th at 30mph 5th at 40 and 6th around 55-60 for driving with economy in mind,
  6. Ive used 3m 1100 ear plugs for over 10 years now, dirt cheap to buy and kills wind noise well meaning i can hear my sat nav playing music on my headphones inside my helmet clearly without damaging my ears any further.
  7. I did notice the last time my car was serviced at a dealers they put in long-life oil regardless of whether it was on a fixed or variable service schedule, i just changed mine back to variable in VCDS after
  8. Going to work the pretty way tomorrow then? Cars looking good dude
  9. i know myhermes tend to have promotional codes for first time users, i tend to send all my stuff with them and havent had any issues yet, I wish superskoda would advertise there products better as i ended up just keeping my honeycomb grill because of the same reasons you mentioned.
  10. When my honeycomb inner arrived it was scratched to death and had bits of plastic showing stretch marks, I've still got it in the garage because i couldn't be bothered to paint it and it would of cost a small fortune to send back. its a shame there isnt a company in the uk that actually sells stuff like this removing the hassle of large shipping costs.
  11. just on a tangent im over in germany for the first 2 weeks of sept so might see you at the ring
  12. You haven't had the Emissions "Fix" done to the car have you? with all the problems ive heard off, one is cars doing regens 4-5x more often than previously, then EGR's failing because of this along with injectors and even turbo issues, a remap as far as im aware doesn't change how the car deals with soot, Just a thought
  13. Ive had the map on my car for 11000 miles, just over a year, and ive not had any issues, to be fair i think the engine runs better since i had it done. I did try to code the led rear lights on the car but it still came up with the bulb out warning light so unless there's another option i missed?
  14. Then Winter Came along, I managed to pick up on eBay 4 x 16" Steel wheels (needed to clear the front brakes) with some winter tyres on and some snow chains (dont think ill actually ever use the chains) for not a lot of cash again local to me, so off i went to get them and then went to go get them fitted by myself, So Started on the nearside first front one was really tight but came off, rears were okay because id had them off to do the Mudflaps earlier in the year Came to do the front Offside and the locking wheel nut was rounded off and wouldn't budge, i dont know why garages over tighten nuts to begin with its just not needed, had to drive to a garage a friend recommended to me who eventually got the bugger off, Unfortunately it meant id lost a bit more paint off the alloy so id have to get it refurbished before spring, After driving on my winter tyres for about 6 weeks i came to the conclusion that either the rubber had gone off or that they wasn't very good tyres to begin with, as they just kept wheel spinning up in places that summer tyres would be fine (cold greasy damp roads) So i ended up buying 4 new winter tyres and went with some Bridgestone Blizzak's LM81 at £60 a corner i thought they were a bargain, The Next day i woke up to this, Never had any issues with them loosing grip. New sticker And Finally i went to a local Alloy wheel place to look at my wheels, after a bit of a chat i left them with him to sort out and paint Audi Carbon, i think they turned out great, i cant wait till spring now so i can put them back on
  15. So Last Sept i went off to Germany on the Family Holiday, no issues at Dover or Calais (think it was a load of crap on the news). I do love driving in Europe i feel the standard of driving is loads better than here in the UK, and who doesnt like driving on the De-restricted Autobahn, I prefer to use my Garmin Zumo from my Motorbike than the satnav built in as i can plan a route, tell it exactly which roads i want to take or avoid all on my pc then upload them as a saved route on the satnav. it means i can go the scenic way if i want to rather than just the quickest motorway missing out on things. Looking a bit dirty Fastest speed i managed to get saved on my satnav, so Skoda say the normal top speed is 139mph, this is remapped so i would of thought it would of been faster than 143.5mph but my speedo did say 150mph (i know they tend to over read)
