  1. I have ordered an Audi A4 to replce my Skoda which is going off lease end May the new car was ordered in January, built in February, booked as ready for shipping on the 2nd March and has been sat at Emden ever since. That's over 7 weeks Audi are claiming the dock is " at capacity " but that doesn't excuse the fact that is has been sat there for so long There must be tens of thousands of cars all sat waiting for a boat Needless to say I have given up all hope of getting it for 8 May, as it typically can take 3 weeks from leaving Emden to arriving at end user
  2. Hi Mate no paid and shipped, but thanks for the interest.
  3. Due to my MK3 VRS wagon going off lease, am selling my roofbars- Part no 9584B Will fit Mk3 Octavia Estate only- includes fittings and spare keys, allen key etc. VGC- used for occasional bike transport- they look very good fitted and are low noise/low drag so have been left on the car year round, no scratches or scuffs ( Bike carriers not included ) RRP is £324, looking for £160 inc delivery to UK mainland. Paypal preferred, or Cash on collection North Cumbria Will be securely boxed Instructions here https://roofracks.co.uk/_pdf/wingEdge.pdf
  4. not sure if it affects the petrol engines but my 2.0CR150 diesel overheated from time to time Turned out the waterpump sleeve would stick from time to time and cause the engine to overheat
  5. i ordered standard mudflaps for my VRS estate and they were fine, although as said they are a slightly different shape. All I did was filled a bucket with boiling water and left the flaps in it for 20 mins before fitting was fine and you don't even have to take the wheels off
  6. Never claim from a tyre manufacturer unless you bought the tyres from them, and they don't sell to the public. Claim with the tyre seller and if its the car you bought with the defective tyres on, then its up to whoever sold you the car to compensate.
  7. was standard on the very first batch of cars in 2013 ( if you kicked up a fuss ) as it was advertised as standard in the first mk3 brochure back in 2013 I know as I was one of them
  8. will be fine with good tyres. its all about the tyres in my experience. A 2WD on wnter tyres is far better than a 4WD on summer tyres
  9. I have had about 3 sets of the cross climates. Very quiet tyres in the dry. slightly noisier when splashing through puddles though, but recommended
  10. done 75,000 miles of mostly motorway milaage Never got more than 50mpg- tends to be around 47mpg, although I do sit at 80 on the motorway The dpf and the regens will hamper the mpg somewhat. Had the dpf removed on my PD170 VRS years ago and the average mpg went from 45 to 50 overnight
  11. Apart from that the 5 series is a lovely refined car that doesn't promote or encourage sporty driving. I borrowed a 520d m sport for the weekend and it was sublime. far more comfortable and refined than anything I have ever driven. but it is the weight of 4 passengers heavier than my VRS so not ideal for chucking about
  12. Exactly. Cross Climate Plus tyres are almost as good as full winters. I have an Audi Quattro which still has a set of winter wheels and tyres, for high powered cars with large wheels its a compromise too far, but for a less powerful car with smaller wheels it really is sensible to just run Cross Climates all year round. Plus they are quiet and last for ages
  13. Errrr no the ones produced since 2017 have 261bhp. FACT. The one to which you refer that produces 218 hasn't been produced for 13 YEARS
