Same with mine. Dealer has no idea why it happens. Glad it's not me going mad though ! -
I had the same response from 2 dealers for 2 seperate cars and officially from Skoda UK. They do not supply the disc with the car. Jon

Been quoted £170 by my local dealer. Anyone else find it cheaper elsewhere? Jon

Why are Skoda so useless?

Morning all Any update on the park assist problem ? I have the same thing with mine. It's got to go back to the dealer soon for the dash air vent to be replaced under warranty (only been waiting six months so far!) and I would like to get them to sort the park assist at the same time . Jon -
Hi all Quick question, I have a Superb II with the Columbus unit. Up until 2 days ago when I started the car the maxidot would start and stay on the MFD display. Now when I start the car it goes to the phone display. Everything appears to work, I just have to navigate back to the MFD screen, just a lttle annoying. Anyone any ideas? Cheers Jon

You don't get the code with the columbus unit. If you need it you call the dealer who then gets it off their skoda system as per the Columbus operating manual page 10. Seems no one has told the dealer !!!!

Morning all. First post and a bit of a rant. Will do the intro's later so bear with me! Got a new Octavia L&K a month ago with the columbus nav system. Started the car this morning and the radio asked for the security code. Quick read of the manual and an email to the supplying dealer should sort it? No, the dealer will not give me the code without putting the car on diag. To quote the service manager "there is no radio code for these as it is all done through the ecu, we would need the car to plug into the diag machine to find why the system has lost its coding" Dealer is miles away so no radio for the next few day! Not happy, surely they can give me the code and then look at it at a later date? Bloody frustrating!! Anyone else have similar problem? Thanks in advance Jon Sorry admin, should have posted in the ICE section
