Well mine went this weekend (March 2010 / 35000 miles). Initially thought it was a turbo problem (had a new one under warranty!) - but relieved to find just some new leads needed. Car well out of warranty, but main dealer serviced - Out of those who had the issue, did anyone get anywhere with Customer Services regarding a contribution ? I dont mind replacing for a worn/broken part - but replacing it with a redesigned part that would have avoided the issue seems a bit steep !

Driver power 2013 survey. Give the yeti what it deserves

Know the feeling, just short of 3 years old. Has had: Xenon headlamp adjuster New turbo New heeated seat New Sunroof oh and today a new timing chain.... Feel like I've personally debugged the 1.2tsi. Saying that, still like it / wife loves it (she hated previous Fabia). -
Saw one of these recently - made me smile http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Neverbeen-Nurburgring-Car-window-Vinyl-Decal-Sticker-/330516401782?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cf4500e76#ht_3237wt_982

I can imagine many Audis failing on indicator relays/bulbs, as they've not been used for 3 years....?

I've not had a breakdown in my petrol Yeti, but I've had a new turbo, headlight problem rectified, replacement heated driver's seat base and it's in tomorrow as the sunroof stuck open last week.... So not left me stranded, but hardly a shining example of reliability. Do Skoda do extended warranties ? If so, any ideas how much ?

That clarifies things. I had a new Citroen C4 on hire last week, only displayed MPH (in both big digital numbers and on needle) - I did wonder if it was legal, as it wasnt also showing KMH simultaneously. (Off topic - it was amazingly frugal - indicated wll over 900 miles on the tank - admittedly I was cruising at 55 on an A-road...).

I always "simmer" both my cars (petrol and diesel turbo) after a run (usually to my wife's annoyance at the motorway services !). I understand the issue with the turbo failure is the electronic actuation - presumably blade angle for variable boost.

Thanks. £250! I'll deffo mention it !

Hi all, In for second service on Monday - will get them to check drivers heated seat is OK. The driver's seatbelt seems very slow/weak to retract - anyone else had an issue with this ? G

Really ? I get almost daily offers from nice gentlemen and ladies in Nigeria to whom such piddling amounts are a mere bagatelle. They just need help to move it out of the country.

I have the pnp 275 and harness - fader option is still there for me. Also use the phono out and remote-on feed for a powered subwoofer under the front seat - makes a huge difference.

Sub connection on SWING radio

I have one of these underneath the passenger seat in my Yeti: http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/131/201/TS-WX110A/index.html I also have a Blaupunkt "Plug and play" amp under the drivers seat, connecting the powered sub with RCA cables. However, you can wire in to speaker cables if you wish. No loss of bootspace, provides a nice punchy bass that can vibrate the rear view mirror if you wish... -
Still exactly the same as before ! I thought it was a faulty sensor or something, so quite surprised with the diagnosis !

Parked up at Manchester airport all last week. Pinged the fault light when I came off the motorway on the way home. Happened again last Saturday.

Been informed I need a new turbo today on my 1.2tsi (remembered I'd seen this posted on here).
