  1. Can anybody help me? I have just lost the driving instructions form Waze from the panel between the Speedo and Tachometer. Up until yesterday there were detailed instructions in the Nav section of this panel, now all I get is a blank screen, If I use the Car Navigations system the instructions appear as normal. Any ideas, what have I done??? Waze is connected via Android Auto and all of the other elements seem to work fine. I have reinstalled Android Auto with no effect.
  2. Not sure which post you were referring to, neither I or others have mentioned being worried about this issue! I have facility which doesn't appear to work as specified and was asking fellow owners if they had experienced the same issue, I don't need replies from someone who doesn't know what they are talking about and who just wants to criticize genuine enquiries. I was once told if you have nothing to contribute to a debate - say nothing, you might want to try it, because I, for one, am not interested in your fatuous comments.
  3. I could not disagree more, our 1.0 115 BHP DSG is very nippy . The DSG box suits the engine and car perfectly. Happy to recommend
  4. I have a 3+ year old Kamiq 1.0 DSG, Over the past year, the stop start system rarely operates, even on a long run when the car was at full operating temperature. Does anyone else have the same experience, or have any ideas what may be the problem?
  5. My Kamiq [SEL with 1.0 petrol and DSG] does not have the option of the brakes remaining on until I drive off. The brakes do remain on for a brief period when I stop, but with my Superb, the brakes remain on until I drive off. My Superb [150 SEL with DSG 2021] has an electric hand brake, the Kamiq has a manual hand brake. Can this facility be activated via the cars system?

  7. Paying more for less never seems to make sense in my mind. Same engine same gearbox but despite the economics, I would always go for the car I like!
  8. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/profile/189197-rumbeard/ This guy in Australia sent me the relevant information for a Superb, I would imagine it is the same for an Octavia. You might want to contact him.
  9. Have a look here= https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/superb/sup/2013-632/8/877-877010/
  10. We did 375 miles from Reims to Mont Blanc and the mpg was 57.6, although we took it steady and the car only had two people on board
  11. On Sunday 31st October I drove from St Gervais [ on the side of Mont Blanc] to Calais. The journey was 549 miles and including stops the journey took 8 hours 21 minutes. Most of the journey was on motorways and we were cruising at 80 mph [just below the max of 130 kph. Amazingly, we averaged 65 mph and 56.4 mpg for the day according to the trip computer [confirmed by filling the tank at Calais], the car was fully loaded with four adults and their luggage. I was impressed to say the least .
  12. I was told by the dealer that the system used by Skoda is not subject to cloning and doesn't need a Faraday bag. True or false??? Thanks for everyone's contributions
  13. Got me there! although in truth not really sure that I would fit the image that you have created😀
  14. David, this is exactly my problem. My car is usually parked in my integral garage, which is about 4 - 5 metres from my lounge. I often find the boot open and I presume it has been opened by the key fob in my trousers. On a few occasions the boot has opened when the car has been parked on the street, allowing access to the boot and rain to get in. I don't want to put key in a tin/box, or to leave the keys anywhere, when you get to my age it's hard enough to remember where I've put anything without adding they keys to the list of things I can't find. Some form of protection looks the best solution. Thanks for your comments
