  1. Sunset glass is not very dark, more of a green, I have sunset and also have Skoda rear window blinds that fit around the window trim, great for summer heat, privacy and fresh air for kids at the back.
  2. On cars with Maxidot computer, you can setup sounds and volume through it, for front and rear parking sensors.
  3. Also easy with taking off the cover in the morning freeze, have seen people pull to strong on the top of the car where the cover has frozen due to humidity between metallic top and the cover, that pulled a piece of paint up with the cover!
  4. Well done, does new engine need to come with it's own ECU or current ECU can be used?
  5. Changed 2 weeks ago all 3 wipers on mine to Bosch and as on Silvers pic the Bosch plastic tip is there, all work fine, rear cleans fully.
  6. It's nearly 2017, Skoda peddling heated steering wheels of 90's and Hill Descent that yeti had 8 years ago? Recycling old crap that VW finally has let Skoda use it? Will wait for MK5 Scout, this one is a joke.
  7. This FL makes MKII look nice. The grill and down pointy little square lights looks like the face is melting and crying. What a disaster, worst Skoda ever :x
  8. Put some silicone spray on rails and the joints of front plastic that slides down when roof shuts. have not had any noise you mention. Don't worry, there is nothing that can go wrong there, apart from a dislocated water drain that wasted me weeks of searching where the water is coming to my footwell, but sorted DIY
  9. You should rather get a decent phone with a decent car holder and use that. I have Columbus and while its nice there, in all senses it sucks as a Navi, old equipment from 2009. You have much better choices at 20-30 quid Phone Navi apps, with constantly updated PoI's, streets, etc etc. with Maps updated every quarter. VW Maps are a year old always, and while there are ways to get them free, the Unit does not do much as a Navi. New Car Navi's have either Android Car or Apple thingy that mirrors your Phone, since this unit will never support that, best choice is a Smartphone. I personally use 2-3 phone apps, and can't remember last time i used Navi on Columbus, thought once a year I update maps and the unit firmware. Good luck.
  10. Parts are ordered through dealer, so they get 2 year warranty. Got a few pics how the kit looks, (hope not wrong ones): Complete kit is around 220 Euro, no labour charge as I maintain and help them with their IT Network when needed. Otherwise there have been no TSI failures cause of tensioner on around 50 Skoda/Audi 1.8/2.0 Petrols that have been sold by them since 2008 when VW opened officially here, sure diesel Octavia Taxis are the bulk of the rest Since my Scout is remapped and moded, he suggested best way to get covered would be to change Tensioner and not worry about engine failure after that.
  11. I made a deal with my friendly dealer, I will order the tensioner kit soon, have it replaced and if it fails and kills my engine, the Tensioner part is covered by 2 Year Warranty, so indirectly all damages made by tensioner to engine are covered too. I've done around 53.000 Miles, so better safe than sorry.
  12. Isn't TFSI just the name that Audi uses for same engine?
  13. I have this Varta 3y ago, no problems starting on minus -20C.
