  1. IIRC it’s every 4 years or 40K Miles. Don’t forget the hidden filter if yours has the gen 4 Haldex. Loads of good info here:-
  2. Thank you just checked, it’s definitely a 2021 model year😀 Booked in for the fluid change, don’t want to risk the warranty or extended warranty. Mark
  3. Thank you. It was registered in Jan 21 so probably is a 2021 model. Mark
  4. Just had the 2nd service carried out at my dealer. I was always under the impression that the first brake fluid change was at 3 years, The dealer advises that Skoda now recommends at 2 years. The Skoda website still clearly says 3. Does anyone know which is correct, I politely decline the brake fluid change and the recommended air con service. Mark
  5. Well after yet more battery changes, my dealer has eventually replaced both key fobs. Fingers crossed for batter battery life. Mark.
  6. Our mk2 140pd Scout was an excellent car. We too averaged around 43mpg. If you do get a mk2 make sure that you change the hidden filter in the Haldex coupling. Skoda, in their wisdom, don’t even show it on the parts diagram 🤪
  7. I’ve been really pleased with our mk3 Fabia estate the boot is definitely tardis like. Needed to pick up a mk3 focus bonnet last week. I was amazed to find it easily fitted in the boot. Saved me a fortune on delivery delivery 😀
  8. My dealer changed both key fob batteries on the 5th May, yesterday got the replace key fob battery warning. Just over 4 months. My dealer isn’t interested saying they only expect them to last 3-6 months. The car doesn’t even have keyless entry. My Jags Keyless fobs lasted 4 years. Just sent another email to Skoda customer services. Mark
  9. When you take out finance there is a legal right on withdrawal within 14 days. Then you will only pay daily interest until you pay off the lump sum. you will keep any financial incentives. Mark
  10. My Apple CarPlay wouldn’t connect this morning. Followed the procedure above and now working perfectly. Thanks bigadel1
  11. Thanks for your reply, both keys are kept separately in Faraday pouches. Mark
  12. Sorry to revive an old thread, but we also are having problems with the key fob battery life. It’s around 3 months for both fobs. While the car was in for service,in January, the dealer changed the Battery in my fob. This lasted just over 3 months. The response from the dealer was that according to Skoda this is acceptable and they would only do something if it lasted under 3 months🤬 I’ve just sent off a complaint to Skoda customer services. Has anyone had their key fob replaced under warranty? Mark
  13. The last time I had 4 wheel alignment, I used Kwik-fits 2 year 4 wheel alignment which cost £99 and allowed up to 8 checks and adjustments during that period. I was recommended the particular branch and had been happy with their previous work. Mark
  14. You really need a scan with VCDS to pinpoint the problem. When you had the Haldex oil changed did they change the hidden filter (not listed on the Skoda parts diagram🙃) lots of useful info and prices here https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/product-tag/Skoda/ Mark
