  1. Hi Max, Sorry for late reply; not a Superb owner no more so only pop in once in a while... using rSAP, shuts your phone down, as a phone, and the car becomes the phone, using it's own aerial. - So, would presume that's correct, you can't make a WiFi hotspot, as no data will directly pass through your phone! Hope that helps
  2. Toyo C1-S weren't bad tyres - had them on my 170 4x4 for a while
  3. we've had a Mk1 Cee'd (LS CRDi 113 bhp) from new ('57 plate) and it's been a good car; we've spent nothing on it bar servicing and fuel etc.
  4. remember, the weights are the MAM (Maximum authorised mass) ie. Our Twin-Axel iFor williams box trailer, tips the scales at 700kg's empty - however, it's max weight is 2700kg's - therefore, way out of my wife's (no B+E) licence range even when empty!
  5. 26, but it was pre-registered and had been at the dealer for around 2 months - poss done a test drive, but that would be about it.
  6. have you really got your dash-cam shooting in 360p? need to get that bad-boy ramped up a notch.. or three...! I'm not sure there's much to be pulled from that video at that setting tho...
  7. when i owned my Superb (170 4x4 estate) i put 18" winter's on new OEM rims (225/40/18) and it was unstoppable.. i changed to a Mercedes E Class (250 CDi) AMG Sport; 265/35/18 on the back - 245/40/18 on the front.. and it wasn't unstoppable, but unmovable in the snow! Big engine and 7-speed box, no where near the rear wheels leaving them very light. For the winter, I now run 245/45/17 all-round with Pirelli SottoZero rubber and it'll hold it's own with RangeRovers on anything unto a few inch's. (I can't fit anything smaller due to the AMG Drilled-Disc's on this model) or i may have came down to 16's, or at least a smaller width.
  8. would find it VERY foolish to replace the Superb with another model - Big Estates (E Class, Superb, A6, 5 series) are very popular at the moment, a lot more than an SUV, and i think they will be for a while yet.... Al.
  9. forget the sunset glass, and have it tinted to your liking at a later date - wish i had of! - the Sunset was way too light - dad's sunset on his L&K Yeti has been re-tinted to make it darker too. Al.
  10. 9000 miles and only a year old? - is the Fabia really THAT bad...?! Al.
  11. Transit-Block's hadn't been removed from mine... until noticed at 1st service!! - Made, 100%, no difference what so ever! Al.
  12. 35 mpg from a teeny engine in a 'we small car, is absolutely shocking, to be honest. 41.6mpg is the average, over the past 15,996 miles, from my 2.2 twin-turbo 7 speed auto diesel merc estate with 204 bhp weighing in at 1840kg kerb! - and this includes some miles with 1700kg's of caravan on it's back! but i suppose that's the problem, with the modern way, of decreasing engine size, and having to make them work harder to get what you want out of them. take the new 1.0 125bhp fiesta for example... claimed 65 - average 44 when dad bought his Yeti, he went for the 170 tdi 4x4 - he gets mid-40-something out of that too; he's got a bit of trailer towing in that. Al.
  13. should be a good we' camera.... but be aware. "There’s no card slot, either, as Nikon has packed it with a generous 7.3GB of internal storage, which is enough for more than 3,000 shots at the full 10.1-megapixel resolution or three hours of VGA-quality video." ps. Accidentally clicked 2* on the rate this topic... didn't mean too - sorry!
  14. I always thought it engaged re-circulation rather than shutting them off Along with cornering function, Fog Lights should also come on, when engaging reverse, if headlights on & on auto Rear-Wiper should wipe when engaging reverse, if auto wipers are on.
