  1. yeah i bet it isnt..0-60 in 5 secs ..as for scooby might be a mid life crisis, but its comfier than the yeti was...excellant road holding...just a big thirst lol...wont be my last skoda im sure...
  2. Petrol scooby 20 mpg if im lucky but boy what fun .. Tp oil did indeed settle at 10'000 miles roughly, up to that needed refilling 4 times fully!!!
  3. hi all, its been a while since i posted, anyways after owning the yeti for 15 months ive sold her on and bought a subaru impreza....whilst i still admire certain things about the yeti, of late i was more aware of how choppy a ride mine was...and getting into my scooby has been a revelation..smooth, comfort that burble..just higher running costs, but while it lasted the skoda was fun..anyways hope everyone takes care cheers lee
  4. im averaging 50mpg.....11000 miles in and still loving it
  5. no!! i live in an hilly part of yorkshire and always have bad winters...3ft deep snow is normal here....my 1.2 s model managed great, infact i was the only one on our close who got on and off during our bad winter just gone...with standard goodyear excellance tyres ...infact all of my previous skoda's have been great in winter

    yeti mpg

still averaging late 40's early 50's 10,000 miles in on a 1.2 tsi
  7. i reg get high 40's low 50's mpg...and i dont hang around..ive now done 10,000 miles and apart from high oil comsumption upto 8000 miles its been a great car...more than enough power, comfy for long distance, brilliant in bad winter( snow) as all my other skoda's were...cant fault it..
  8. 10,000 miles and not an hint of trouble..apart from high oil useage, which looks to have fianlly settled
  9. shell fuels have caused quite a few engine's to fail bigtime of late..hence why i dont use shell anymore' tesco's fuel for me,just to clarify the problem with shell fuel is the ethanol is too high and eats away at engine seals with disasterous consequences,
  10. As most of u all know my 1.2 has been drinking oil like petrol since new, car was run in as per manual...and has used 4 litres in 7000 miles( dealer said normal) ...anyways she is now on 9500 miles and level is still on max ...she also goes in friday for her first service(10,000)..and a couple of warranty issues( rear badge/white, and rear door sills chipped to hell)...apart from that im still having fun with this amazing engine and still averaging 45/50 mpg
  11. we live in a remote part of hilly yorkshire...so bad snow for weeks at a time, i had no problems with my 1.2 and snow on oe goodyear tyres, infact mine was the only vehicle to get off and back on our street!!!..maybe its your driving style that needs looking at :wonder:
  12. my 1.2 has used 4 litres in 9000 miles'..dealer says there is nothing wrong and no leaks!..car was run in as recomended...not happy as in 26 yrs of driving ive never had any car/motorbike use oil like this.....car is due its forst service soon so will see what happens then
  13. yes indeed mines used oil like petrol since new...now nearly on 10000 miles and still using oil, dealer cant find owt wrong, and said its normal to which i disagreed, its due to go in for service soon so will see if its first service cures it, but cant see it myself, oh and car was run in as per manual...
  14. my 1.2 tsi ceratinly has more go than my last car an 125 bhp ford focus zetec...cannot fault the yeti for pulling power, i reg have 4-5 adults on board and live in a very hilly part of yorkshire, no problems..as for towing caravans, i wouldnt hesitate to tow with mine, just cant decide caravan or camper
