  1. Hi, thanks! I’ve already swapped the stat out for a new one!? any other ideas? Thanks
  2. Unplugging the MAF strangely makes no difference to how the car drives? It drives perfectly apartly from the issues I mentioned in the first post!
  3. Thanks! Worth a shot at that! Are they expensive? I don’t see any listed on euro car parts? thanks

  5. Hi all!! Long time no talk! Still have the wee Fabia for my daily mile eater during the week For the past few weeks I’ve been having an issue with my coolant temp dropping when the heater is switched on full (numbers 2+3+4) when idling or when stuck in stop start traffic. Ive also experienced a loss of MPG of approx 10mpg. They may or may not be related? Ive been reading through here about possible suggestions. So far I’ve replaced the thermostat and last night changed the coolant temp sensor. Neither have solved the issue but the car is now heating up quicker and blowing much hotter air which is a positive. I’ve checked the usual suspects, tyres pressures, binding brakes etc and all seems ok. Car last serviced 4K ago and is regularly serviced every 5-8k. Ive scanned the car with VCDS which returns no fault codes. I did notice that the MAF readings aren’t synced and are both out of the ‘range’. MAF specified: 340mg range: 230-310 MAF actual: 465mg range: 210-350 These values are at idle. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks Jordan
  6. Update on this, if I give the car a bit of horsing the noise seems to disappear completely???
  7. New video which I think is a bit clearer! Can anyone help me please? Much appreciated! https://vimeo.com/139747089
  8. I've had boost leaks before but this sounds too high pitched as opposed to what I've had in the past, plus the fact that it's only there for a small portion of the revs, approx 1800-2300 then it goes away again?!? Really frustrating me! Haha
  9. Hey all! Can anyone shed some light on this high pitched squeak I'm getting in the video? (Just as I change from 1st to 2nd then in second again) It seems Very faint in video but is louder in real life. Most noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear (I don't think it does it in higher gears as I can't hear a anything but could just be road noise blocking it) I know the video is not great as the phone is picking up a lot of other noises. When under the bonnet the noise leads me right to the top of the egr valve but I can't spot anything out of place and I have had a good look round almost everything. If the car is idled and revved for 2-3 mins the noise virtually disappears but will return again once sitting for a minute. I've even had days where is seems to have cured itself then a couple of mile down road the it appears again. Sounds like air squeezing out somewhere to me? Any help much appreciated! Thanks Jordan https://vimeo.com/139376149
  10. Hey! Just general question, have you run these before? What's grip like?
  11. As above, the load signal wire from your alternator is frayed or broken somewhere. Had this a while back, never noticed i had no battery light on the dash until I was broke down at the side of the road lol
  12. Thanks! Did you look for the leak at night or was the torch good enough to look during the day?
  13. Thanks, did you use as they suggested running engine at 2k for 20mins. Wonder is that needed, I could just drive as normal and check in a day or day?
