  1. sorry Wayne don't like that I think it looked better with the badges but if you like it that's all that counts. bill
  2. I sold my superb due to back problems.now driving the new ford kuga tit x its okay but not a patch on my old superb the only thing I think is better on the kuga is the engine a lot smoother and than the superb and less noise at speed from the engine oh and warms up very quick nice and toasty in 5 minutes not 30.hoping Skoda are going to make a superb suv for me in 2016 bill
  3. On my old c class they both worked front and back under 5 mph never had a problem when out on the road driving. Far better than what we have can only be a software change I would think. bill
  4. 3lit v6 diesel would be better I would buy that tomorrow. bill
  5. I tried the air filter fix no good also tried lumps off foam wedged in different places cabal ties you name it nothing worked. the bit that I liked was when 3 different dealers said it was ok ? made me sell a very good car bill
  6. you must have been lucky the one I had with 22.000 on the clock always had a vibration between 1500-2000 revs and a engine hum at 80 mph not what you expect from a £30.000 car went back to the dealer several times they said it was normal they are all like that .hence the reason I now drive a ford kuga . maybe I was just unlucky the rest of the car was perfect if the superb had the same engine as in the kuga I would still be driving the superb. Hoping Skoda build a superb suv with a 3 litre v6 diesel for me in 2016 for my next car?? bill
  7. not good having to put rubber strips all over a 30 grand car to stop rattles. And that not to mention the rough sounding engine with a vibration. bill
  8. hi Pete Do your self a favour and buy a petrol superb or at least drive one before you buy, the 170 diesel model has a vibration at 1500-2000 revs that will drive you up the wall. bill
  9. just a bit, looks a very nice car but whatcar private book price is £4500. bill
  10. I would buy a petrol 1.8 vrs super smooth engine, the pd engine is very noisy I know I had one sounds more like a truck engine. This would be a better bet for you with the low mileage you do. But try both then you will see what I mean. Something like this Skoda Octavia 2.0T FSI VRS 5dr Hatchback bill
  11. hi smartie my Columbus used to take 2-4 minutes to start in the mornings Skoda replaced it for me under warranty best car I have had apart from the engine vibration I had at 1500-2000 revs.driving a mk2 ford kuga 2lt 160bhp awd power shift now very nice. car engine and g/box silky smooth don't think it quite as good as the superb would have liked this engine in the superb bill
  12. hi over there its all the heat and dust you have over there I expect. bill
  13. What is a stabilizer link on a car? | eHow UK hi Ned have a look at this you have one of these on each corner of you suspension the ball joint goes after a while then you get a knocking sound. bill
  14. buy the petrol model the diesel is a bit gruff with some vibration at times the 1.8 is very smooth you will then have the perfect estate that money can buy. bill
  15. brake fluid change not that old dealer money spinner. I have been driving for 50 years and have never changed the brake fluid on any of my cars and have never had a problem with brakes. Its the as same carrots help you too see in the dark.?? bill
