  1. S/S is a dreadfull feature in my Audi 3.0TDI, starting and stopping this lump rocks the car each & every time, this and extra delay when pulling away is vey annoying to say the least, I try to press "that" button now as soon as the motor starts. S/S on a powerfull car is daft, you pull up to the line, see a gap and your engine stops, "great". For the more fuel wary "eco" vehicles it makes some sense, but you should get the choice to enable it or not in the menu's. I have tried perm disabling it, it appears in multiple section in VCDS, but I never fully cracked it. It would be perm alarming in the MFD or reset itself upon locking, unlocking and startup. Rant over..... Keep pressing the buttons
  2. I understand now, they making it difficult.
  3. This any use? Not my work, but I had it filed ready to try when my next car turns up (1) Temperature Method These instructions were sourced from the Golfmk7.com site. Grateful acknowledgement to the author "Allenlin" who has said that the VCDS tweak was developed on a 103TDI. Allenlin has produced a short video which shows that SS has been disabled (see the link below) I have implemented this tweak on my mkVII, and I can vouch that it works. Video: Start/Stop disabled-Golf mkVII Allenlin instructions: 1. Enter 19-CAN Gateway 2.Click on Adaptation-10 3. From drop-down channel list select (1)-Start/Stopp Auntemperaturvorgabe-Minimaltemperatur (it's almost at end of channel list) o In New value box, enter 50 (default stored value = -50.0) o Click Do it! tab o Click Add to Log to save a copy of the change 4.From drop-down channel list select (2)-Start/Stopp Auntemperaturvorgabe-Maximaltemperatur (it's almost at end of channel list) o In New value box, enter 50 (default stored value = -50.0) o Click Do it! tab o Click Add to Log to save a copy of the change
  4. They are short, I've got them extending ones in my Audi now and they help a lot, much more reach adjustment on the steering also allows me to get further back from pedals too, no leg room left in rear now, but the Superb would have. The superb seat did go back enough but I got upper back issues because the steering wheel was too far a reach, so I had too cramp my legs up. The A4 is way better for my 6ft-ness but you would probably think the Superb be better looking at the length of it.
  5. IMHO, Ivory interior don't look good with black carpet or go with white extorior at all. You asked.......
  6. IMHO the ride is on the Superb is on firm side, but don't forget most of the ride quality issues are the poor state of the roads we have. In comparison I thought the ride quality was and like a transit van when I drove a Yeti, I was very dissappointed. It's all very much a personal thing, try & get the dealer to lend you a demo for a couple of day as a comparison? make sure it's tyres pressures are correct tough.
  7. VCDS has option to disabe it starting when in reverse, even with disabled mine would randomly operate when starting car. It's a little Skoda gremlin
  8. Your dealer don't want you taking you car there for servicing then, or wants you to buy another car from them, do they?
  9. Got a full set of Combi ones in garage, if its any use? These are gone now
  10. That's not nice, I'm sure you will get the standard "sorry sir, not covered, it was caused by a stone chip"
  11. Full set of removable Vanstyle screens, unmarked, as new, includes all the clips and bag. £60 inc delivery, they a bargain at this price.
  12. VCDS turns all that daft stuff of, check the section to find help
  13. As new, all the clips & bag. £65 inc. delivery
  14. Don't flame me, but standard auto boxes go wrong too.
  15. Alloy wheels don't rust, probably just rust stains from the bolts?
