  1. Seats still awful regardless of adjustment. Just have to hope for bedding in improvements or the car is going, it is no good to us if we can't do long distances because of poor seat comfort. I don't understand how the Citigo seats could have been so much better they just worked for both of us from day one.
  2. Yes I have checked the tyres and they were about 10% high, corrected them but not enough to notice a difference. I had not even noticed that the SEL wheels were lower profile than the SE, I don't feel like changing them anyway. Over 300 miles on Saturday, mixed roads, Norfolk etc. Seat comfort still not good but it did not get any worse during the day. I am hoping the suspension will soften up soon, the sports suspension must have steel bars for shock absorbers. Sat Nav keeps losing its route mid journey, if you go to radio or media and back to Nav the route seems to reset to a previous destination, watching brief on that one. Car keeps up with traffic very easily with a good launch away from roundabouts, fuel economy was good at about 50mpg.
  3. Thanks for the encouraging words. I am hoping that a day out in Norfolk this weekend should help me get used to it.
  4. Well the Citigo has gone and it's big brother has arrived (not even half brother, it must have been adopted). Nothing good to say about it at the moment! The seats are excruciatingly uncomfortable (back ache within minutes) The surge on the engine as the turbo joins the party when pulling away is almost uncontrollable, followed by a scramble up the gears give unpredictable progress. The suspension is rock hard and the car thumps and skitters down the country lanes that the citigo took in it's stride. It really is an unpleasant place to be, I was hoping for the qualities (comfort, ride & handling) of a citigo with a bit more power and a better gearbox. Didn't get it!!! I can't see this being a keeper. This really is the last time I buy a car without a 24 hour test drive and bringing it on to roads that I know. I would not have touched this with a barge pole. We are taking it for a day out at the weekend, I am hoping things improve but I can't see how, I am dreading my wife driving it for the first time.
  5. I agree that it is great from the back seat but you don't get the wow factor when driving. I imagine it must make the car hotter in the summer as well.
  6. Just missed out on the 3 cylinder engine then... Rats!! I loved the sound of the 3 cylinder in our Citigo but I have always liked the 1.2 for its quietness so swings & gyratory systems!!
  7. Hey don't drift off topic guys, forget about silly things like phones I have serious coffee drinking to arrange. I am trying to find something like a fold down holder that will fit (perhaps on the underside of) the centre console for the passengers cup.
  8. Expecting our new Fabia soon but I have a Major problem already. There are only 1.5 cup holders in the centre console how will we survive without 2 full size cup holders neither of us are going to downsize our caffeine hit. Has anyone solved this problem? I have been looking at aftermarket units but have not found anything I like. Please help, may have to cancel car.
  9. I had the same problem with my passat which was (eventually) cured by the mechatronics unit being changed, I have owned numerous cars with the DSG transmission and this was the only one that ever had a problem. Hopefully yours will be OK.
  10. I have been looking at the duo camera, looks like you are pleased with it, any chance of a picture as I can't quite picture where to mount it so that both cameras can do their job.
  11. Our Citigo Elegance ASG "Buggy" is leaving us soon. 32,000 miles and no complaints. We just need a slightly bigger car and a little more power when joining motorways etc would be nice. So we have today ordered a new Fabia from the very nice people at Hortons in Lincoln. We have browsed every manufacturer we could find and keep coming back to Skoda as offering the best car for our needs & wants at the right price. The Fabia appears to be a very well put together car and it is easy to see why it won best hatchback of the year 2016. Now the horrible bit, waiting for delivery (about 9 weeks maybe!) hoping it arrives before the £140 per year road tax hits in April. It has been great to see the enthusiasm for the Citigo on this forum and if a 110PS version every happens I may be back, for now I am off to the Fabia Forum to see whats going on there
  12. Hello Fabia Owners I am hoping to move over from the Citigo crowd and I am currently choosing the spec on my new car. It will almost certainly be a 1.2 SE L DSG but there are still some options that I can't get clear information on. I am trying to find out if the standard cruise control/speed limiter uses the brakes to control the speed of the car (down hills etc), this would be the determining factor between choosing the standard cruise control and the Adaptive version which I am certain does use the brakes to control the speed of the car and the distance to the car in front. My dealer says that it can NOT use the brakes but it seems to me that the speed limiter would be pretty useless if that was true. I would love to hear from any current SEL owners to clarify what the standard cruise control can do.
  13. Don't do it. The ASG is OK in my opinion but to buy a car without trying it could be a mistake
  14. The Fuel filler flap on my 75 Elegance says to use Super Unleaded fuel. I am used to using Super in my Motorbike and it is only the same price as diesel so I have always used Super in the Citigo (Tesco 99 if I can get it). What does everyone else use?? Anybody found any difference between normal & Super
