6 month update on my 280. Really really happy with the car, especially the smile it puts on your face from time to time when a situation comes up. I'm pretty sure we have nearly all left someone behind wondering what just happened! For a big, long car it is suprisingly easy to clean. MPG has been close to what was quoted, getting 28.5 on average. Read some reviews before getting the car and some questioned the handling, it is actually better than i was expecting. Nothing sporty but fine for me and the dogs (i have standard factory suspension). Particularly like the infotainment/stereo/satnav - very good and easy to use. Sunroof - amazing just amazing. A nice luxury to have. I didn't know the car was equipped with the radar type cruise control - a good feature which i have used a lot. Finally one small downside. Heated seats only have 1 setting and that feels like it is the lowest setting. Luke warm bum for the time being for me:( When i went to take it to my nearest VW garage this brought another bigger problem. Over the course of the last year or two VW have stopped fixing warranty repairs for Skoda. You now have to go to a Skoda garage which for me is not feasible. Will hope to get the seats sorted on the first service before next winter.

Car delivered earlier today. Superb Estate III 2.0 TSI SEL Exec (4x4 DSG) 280HP - Corrida red - Panoramic sunroof - Towbar - 18" Modus alloys

After ordering back on April 18th the big day finally arrived today, 8th September. 3 hours later and there are already 100 miles on the clock! Have to say after just a short drive i am really pleased with the 280 estate. It is an SE L Exec in Corrida red with sunroof, towbar and modus alloys. Wasn't expecting a full set of mats inside as i thought it was L&K that just had the mats. So its either a spec change or a freebie from Simpsons of Preston. I noted that people in this thread have mentioned the engine noise in the past. Well after a short spin a few hours ago i can confirm there is almost none in normal driving and no sign of exhaust flap sounds. Even when you floor the throttle there is a slight growl but nothing to write home about. Very, maybe too, civilised. I've attached a picture though don't know if it will upload......

My 280 SE L Estate was built last week and is now making its way to the UK. Delivery 1st wk September, can't wait! If anyone is interested, just before my build i enquired about changing to the Sportline. I was not able to at the time as the model is not officially out yet here and when they do start orders ,probably mid Aug, they say delivery will not be until mid January 2017. Couldn't wait that long, next time maybe.

Whoopeee July has arrived! Not long to go now until until the start of my 280 build begining the week of 19th July. Excited to be getting one step closer.

After 3 years away from Briskoda it looks like i am on my way back to join you all!!! Having had a Yeti 2.0 tdi 170 4x4 from 2010 to 2013 on contract hire i was then teased away by another part of VAG with an excellent 3 year deal on an 3.0 A6 Allroad. That deal is now coming to an end and the price on the A6 has shot up so i have looked around at other cars eg Passat Alltrack but not had any luck on deals. Golf R estate did stand out as a bonkers cheap price on contract hire but the boot was just a bit small for my requirements. So i am proud to say my Superb 280 was ordered yesterday! Have gone for the SE L in Corrida red. Pegasus alloys, panoramic sunroof and spare wheel. Delivery is estimated as mid to late September, going to be a long 5 months!

Excellent to read this story, was beginning to think I was mad considering one. Current Yeti 3 yr lease not far off ending, V6 Superb estate looking to be my next Skoda!

Hurrah,almost six months and my snow monster has arrived! Just need to organize and towbar and we're sorted.

Thanks for the responses folks. As i've only ordered this week it looks like i will get next years model. Lets just hope i don't have to wait til next year. Ha ha!!!

Hi, I have just ordered today ( 24 Jan 2011) my new Yeti Elegance CR 170. Am still waiting for info on delivery but have been told roughly 6 - 8 months. Has anyone else ordered recently and got a more accurate lead time? Will this length of wait mean it will go in to the new model year 2012?
