  1. White? With you you out in the country? Have a great time with the new motor. The self-checking headlights on start-up still make me smile. It's a bit like the Hokey Coky - In Out but at least they don't shake it all about, though they do the up down as well. Makes the sparrows curious at least. Enjoy.
  2. Luv the headlights and the indicators. :sun:
  3. Very happy with my L&K 170 DSG. I had the smaller (148?) before. The 170 is noticeably quicker, but that does affect the mpg, if you have a right foot like mine! I'm now getting about 42mpg with 9,500 miles on the clock. The old one averaged about 45mpg. As an old slushmatic box user in various cars before, the DSG is a revelation. Changes up in the blink of an eye and also changes down to help with deceleration. I gather they are not the most reliable thing in the world after a few years, but enjoy it now.
  4. Good choice, I think the L&K is well equipped as standard. Heated seats are great on cold mornings as the heater takes a while to give some heat. Have you noticed the crazy headlights on start up? Up down, in out, at least they don't shake it all about!
  5. Rosso Brunello is nice! But doesnt stay as 'clean' as the lighter metallics.
  6. Congratulations, nice colour. Yes lots of bits to play with in the L & K. Have you noticed the moving headlight beam on start up and going round corners? It still makes me smile! :sun:
  7. If I didn't live out in the country I would have definitely chosen white. I agree it looks the best, especially with the black roof. My Yeti in Rosso Brunello looks great and is not too dark, so suits the Yeti shape, but shows the dirt, which my sliver one didn't.
  8. Mine has the twin tailpipes, they look good, but do need to be kept clean, The car can get DAB most of the time, but I cant seem to get it in the house! DAB is a big improvement on the usual FM signal. It does drop out from time to time. A nice feature is to be told by the text on the screen what music is playing - very clever
  9. I suggest a long drive! :sun:
  10. Thanks all for your replies. DAB radio reception done here is not so good. I can't get it in the house for example. But I did find our I can stream music on Youtube through the internet on to my Yeti system as I am driving along! Duw there's posh!
  11. I've had the new L&K Yeti since May and mostly very pleased with it. I love the way the when you switch the lights on the beam moves up and down and side to side to find its level - very Knight Rider (for those of a certain age!) I like the way the system asks if I want to find the nearest filling station on the sat nav if your low fuel warning light comes on. The extra power of the 170 engine over the 140 and of curse the wonders of the DSG box always delights. I had noticed a while back that the DAB radio looses its volume from time to time. On Sunday it happened when I went over a pothole. I suspect a loose connection somewhere. On Saturday the radio couldn't be used at all. The DAB just searched for a station, the FM radio just had the mute symbol on the screen as if the mute button on the wheel was pressed. The system stayed like that the whole day, despite turning the system off and on a few times and also stopping the engine. The next day all was well. Last night I got back home, with the sunroof open, closed the roof and the back edge of the roof wouldn't close. The back edge stayed open, just like it was open for ventilation. I opened the roof fully and closed it a few times, but no change. I thought I would even have to resort to putting the car in the garage just in case it rained overnight. I tried the roof a few more times and it closed - fully! Obviously one or to issues to sort out on a visit to the dealer. Anyone else have issues like these?
  12. At last! After 3 months and reading this post again, I have managed to get my mirrors to fold and my sunroof to close on the key! At first I couldn't work out why the rear window switches wouldn't work at all. I could raise and lower the windows from the drivers door switches, but not from each rear switch. Luckily when I had rear seat passengers, they didn't need the windows open! I had forgotten about the disabling switch in the middle of the 4 window switches on the drivers door! Now it all works
