  1. Just been to look at my diesel engine and cant see how the drive belt could catch the the timing belt to make it jump. As far as i can see (with a very dull tourch) lol the t/belt is fully encased behind a platic cover. Can someone please clear this up for me as i cant see the connection between the two belt to cause the fault.
  2. I have them on my vrs diesel, i changed from the premacy's to the ps3's. My own opion of them is that the premacys are a better tyre than the ps3's, they seem to break away more easily than the premacy's when pulling away going through the gears.
  3. I dont under stand why you are blaming the the place were you washed your car for the damage which you caused by your own words by dragging the house over the car. It would have been all the small stones stuck to hose by water that caused the damage not the hose. The car will look good when it's finished which will give you even more reason to drive it on a sunny night.
  4. Im sure the auto data books that the trade use will have all the belt info you need for the car. The only problem is there not that cheap but are worth it. http://www.autodata.ltd.uk/timingbelts_manual.aspx
  5. Would it still be possible for the diesel to get to the timing belt, I know it's behind a cover.
  6. my car is going in next month for its 4th year service, t/belt, water pump, but i am not getting the fluid done as im going to get 4year lasting brake fluid and do it my self.
  7. Sorry mike that is not true, there is many reasons that a disc could be out ou true (warped). I used to do alot of warranty returns for partco/unipart and used to get people trying to claim warranty's on new disc that were warped when the whole breaking surface was blue with overheating. But the OP has said he has changed the discs and pads and the problem is still there. I have heard of vibrations on cars at speed caused by the large grub screw thingy that screws the disc to the hub being missing causing the problem. My money is still on the wheel weights.
  8. If it was me, if the car is still under warranty i would use oe parts, if its a older car there is nothing wrong with after market parts like coopers for the filters and lucas for the discs and mintex for the pads. these are the brands that i like and trust.
  9. Never mind the st, will have a new edition to the company fleet the morn to play with, still a focus but a rs model. Oh happy days ahead.
  10. I woild love to get mine hydro dipped with the carbon film.
  11. Cheers silver it would not work for me, whats going on with this site it keeps on freezing up on me.
  12. Have a look on the the bay with this number 280895286336.
  13. Was the car parked next to a nissan gtr, I'm sure the octy i saw had the original wheel that i came with painted dark grey but i could be wrong.
  14. your the second octy with dark wheels and blue paint up this neck of the woods. Saw the other one for a second time in cooper park in Elgin at the weekend.
  15. Good luck with that one, If you heard the noise strait after the shunt you should have had it looked at then when the insurance came to look at the car.
