Thanks Carlston, do you know the OEM number?

Hi does anyone know the dimensions of the rear shock absorbers for a 2012 Fabia 1.2 Tsi Monte Carlo? I've been looking for replacements on the Autodoc website and there are a few different lengths available. Thanks

Turbo air intake pipe connected to engine damage
montecarlo replied to dr8297's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have the same problem on a 2011 Fabia 1.2 Tsi. I replaced the turbo actuator with a Chinese copy part, it was alright for a few weeks and now the problem has reappeared. I’m looking for a better part because I think this is the cause of error code P155A (I used a Clarke code reader to get the reading) and the yellow engine light on the dashboard. Prolonged acceleration such as driving uphill on the motorway brings the light on. Looking forward to getting it fixed as the car struggles to reach 70 mph now. Any ideas anyone? Thanks -
Can anyone recommend a supplier for a turbo actuator. The car is a Fabia 1.2 Tsi 86 bhp 2012 model. I have been quoted over £300 for a genuine part and £60 for a Chinese copy. Having already tried a Chinese part which only lasted a short time before it started putting the engine check light on and performing badly I am looking for something as good quality as the original Mahle part which lasted several years. Many thanks in advance.

Turbo air intake pipe connected to engine damage
montecarlo replied to dr8297's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Did you get this fixed? I had a broken breather pipe too but it wasn't the one in your hand it was from the rocker cover and I could smell oil fumes in the car, this didn't put a warning light on though. I have P155A fault code now and the yellow check engine light is on, I can reset it but it comes back during prolonged acceleration such as joining a motorway and then there's a loss of power. The car has recently had a new turbo actuator fitted but the fault still exists. Thanks -
1.2 TSi Oil level light on after new sensor fitted
montecarlo replied to montecarlo's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
The wiring appears to be alright so I’ve replaced the oil sensor again, this time I have used a genuine Hella part. I noticed that when the other new part was fitted the oil temperature reading was quite erratic, randomly going from nothing to very high, this has settled down now and sensible readings are now showing up. The oil level light didn’t appear again for a while after the Hella part was fitted but it’s now making occasional appearances. Does anyone know the point at which the light is triggered? I always keep the oil level near the maximum point of the dipstick. -
1.2 TSi Oil level light on after new sensor fitted
montecarlo replied to montecarlo's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Thanks for the advice, I do have a multimeter so I will check the readings and get back to you -
I had a yellow oil can symbol on the dashboard accompanied by the words "Oil sensor: Workshop!" so I fitted a new oil level sensor (not a genuine Skoda part) but the light still comes on. I went back to the motor factors where I bought the replacement part and they cross referenced the part number from the original part with the one that they supplied and confirmed that it is correct. (The wiring seems ok and the bonnet catch switch seems ok too because the dashboard display shows when it is open and goes off when it is closed, sometimes the catch switch can cause the oil light warning as well. Do I need to do some kind of fault code reset to clear the fault? So far I have used a code reader which showed no stored faults but it isn't a very expensive one, and I have also tried leaving the battery disconnected for a while. The original part number is 03C 907 660M and the engine code is CBZA Thanks for your help.

1.2 Tsi cat back exhaust upgrade
montecarlo replied to montecarlo's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Thanks Ken I've sent them a message -
The exhaust is quite corroded on my 1.2 TSi Monte Carlo so I'm thinking of having a stainless steel cat back exhaust fitted and a local garage has recommended a 2 inch pipe from the cat to the back box and a double tail pipe going through the bottom of the back bumper, they didn't think it was necessary to add a resonator box but I'm not sure if that will be too loud because I don't want it much louder, if any, than a standard VRS. Does anyone know if this will be ok?
-
I've found a place near Wigan called Danmar who do custom exhausts, I've told them that I don't want it to be much louder than it is now with the factory exhaust and they've recommended a 2 inch diameter pipe with a single silncer and twin tail pipes. Does anyone have experience of this set up on a Fabia Tsi and has anyone here used Danmar?
-
Thanks that’s really helpful, does it sound much different with the cat back exhaust and did you need to alter the rear bumper?
-
To Kenrw8 That's impressive! Do you have any links for the cat back and ecomap? You're not far from me so I might be able to use the same place that you did

Reply to Roottootemoot It was originally an 86 BHP engine so probably about 50 at the moment 😒
