  1. From 7 hours ahead... "Have a Happy New Octavia vRS." I own an 2010 Octavia1.8tsi 7dsg for 15 months now, might be only ONE in Thailand. Wish I could get a vRS but dealer in my country decided not to order any more Octavia but continue with Fabia1.2tsi, Fabia vRS1.4tsi, Yeti1.2tsi and Superb1.8tsi. All in all, so very happy with this car. Enjoy
  2. Hi obi604, I own one with 7dsg for about 8 months already with about 9,000km now (about 2 months sitting still in the parking building to get out of water during the Big Flooding in Thailand Oct - Nov 11). This engine runs smoothly and so quiet, start working strongly from 1500rpm. Since mine is quite new, there's no sign of problem at all. This engine is so sweet when you need to accelerate quickly and this makes me feel like I want a fast acceleration too often , and as a result, I also have to visit gas station very often. :( All in all "Good Engine" go for it.
  3. It's the same problem I have with my 2 days old Octavia 1.8tsi. I'll call the dealer and ask if they could take care of this, hope they could..! By the way, Skoda is very RARE in Thailand and there is only one Skoda dealer in Bangkok. Wish me luck.. Thanks for the useful advices.
  4. Thanks Soot1e, I finally changed my mind and go for the Octavia 1.8TSI/7DSG, just took her home yesterday.. Very happy driving back home yesterday and goto work today. Will have to adapt myself (my right foot) a bit since she tends to go faster than I need !! Anyway this is a very nice car and Skoda is very RARE in Thailand..
  5. Welcome to Briskoda.. I'm from THAILAND..! Will get one Fabia in July (I hope). Cheers
  6. Interesting question about pricing..They are really expensive..! - Fabia1.2tsi/7dsg Ambiente £20,000 (with MTM tune up, 17 inch alloy : plus £3,000) - Octavia1.8tsi/7dsg £30,000 - Superb1.8tsi/7dsg Ambiente £40,000 - for the cousin..VW Golf1.4tsi/dsg £40,000 (They are not from the same importers) (I rounded them up a little bit but this is as close as I can do)
  7. Hello everyone, My name is Tarin from Thailand. Looking for a new car to replace my old Toyotas. Been with Japanese made vehicles for my whole life.. Skoda is something new for me. After test driven the Superb and Octavia 1.8tsi/dsg, Fabia 1.2tsi/dsg..I fell in love with Skoda already. Hope I could get one soon.. (most likely FABIA)
