      Happy New Year

  2. In that case could well work mate, if the unlock button illuminates when it's plugged in then it should in theory unlock all the doors like when you bring the vehicle to a stop. It will never allow anything to work which normally needs the ignition on as the crims would find that very useful :-)
  3. Oh yeah this method would probably work fine, I didn't say it can't be done as I said further up the thread some ways are difficult in that case you would need someone quite flexible and not afraid of bruising to the ribs of the handbrake lever as you would struggle to do some of that sat in the passenger seat :-)
  4. That just replaces the live that the battery normally provides when connected. The central locking would need to be operated via the remote to unlock deadlocks. However I've not tried that before so my theory may well be wrong! It could potentially give power to unlock button on the console, that might work with that gadget.
  5. Good effort and bonus on the window front, they must do something for car security, can remember it being a big selling point when new cars came out!
  6. What was that on trundlenut? In my experience it usually meant either trying to strip the door card off with the door shut or getting power to the lock, not funny!
  7. No mate, that's what deadlocks are designed to stop. If you try the handle it's like having child locks on, you need electrical power to release them
  8. I'm sure the breakdown services will have either figured out or been given the technique to power up the door locks to be able to open it by now. Albeit a good while ago when I worked for the AA, we had CD-ROM's with methods of un-intrusive entry for most cars, some a pain others easy peasy.
  9. So approx just over 460NM, not a bad show :-)
  10. That's pretty bad for that to happen straight away on your first drive in her! Have they still got the car in the workshop or did they fix it? Don't let it put you off though, your going to love it I'm sure :-)
  11. Is yours a diesel? If so I was in contact with a guy who has a CRD-T "Trevor" box that's approx. 18 months old but in great condition. Its the twin sensor version offering around 240bhp on the derv. Let me know if interested and I'll contact him.
  12. Hi all, I need of some help wiring up a receiver as I have tried and failed, using Phoenix flight sim the plane can't be flown due to most control surface malfunctioning! Thanks in advance Steve
  13. You could also add yourself to the MK2 limited edition register, using your seat number. You will then see who has the others and there are some numbers missing so if you know who else has one you could maybe put them on there too?. Obviously with the owners permission :-)
  14. Can't say I've noticed and I'm only up the road! A fella at work had one but it was on a NI plate but was 09MY not sure if he still has it mind. 19K is low for that age nice find.
