  1. sorry to hijack the topic here as i know this is to do with tfsi engine covers but will that fit onto the tsi engine and if so which audi cover is that ??
  2. http://www.amdtuning.com/product.details.cfm?ProductID=17598&VariantID=371&ReferenceID=180608 can't really answer the coilpack/sparkplug question just that i see it as if it ain't broke don't fix it
  3. before i had my remap done i have a neuspeed intake fitted and gave more turbo noise but increase in power was small as i didn't realize the tsi engine's have like 215hp standard. according to rollers it made about 4+5 hp. have also a gfb dv+ valve and was not sure if it would make a big difference but it does from when u let off the accelerator pedal to change gear and put your foot back on the power it just seems more instant and the noise is louder but not chavy loud sounds more like a sneeze lol!! but overall with the apr remap it just feels night and day.
  4. excellent thanks for clearing that up would like them to poke out but would have to see nearer the time. did look into neuspeed alloys but not sure if i like them or not. with regards to the wideness of the wheels if i was to get the 3sdm being the fact they r 8.5j would that require stretched tires or not ??
  5. Sorry should of mentioned 18s looking at the site i can either go 40 or 45 but i just don't want issues of scrubbing etc.
  6. hi all sorry if this has been asked before but have tried to get the right info to no avail. anyways have found a set of 3sdm wheels i would like possibly at xmas or next year but would like to know what is going to be the best offset. as i would like it to be either the same as my stock wheels (if it works that way) or close without having issues. anyways these our the wheels in question http://www.awesomegti.com/brand/3sdm-alloy-wheels/3sdm-0-01-alloys-wheels so if anyone could help there be mighty grateful thanks all p.s this is for 2.0tsi model
  7. i have a neuspeed intake with gfb dv+ valve with remap and the noise for me is enough any louder would just be stupid. but as a comparison had type g valve with neuspeed installed and you could hear the valve but was quite quiet then got remap and dv+ and the noise is nice without being silly
  8. stock 215.1 hp @5722rpm 215.0 ib-ft@4248rpm with dv+ fitted 220 hp @5404rpm 232.4 ib-ft @2934rpm apr remap 267.6hp @5228rpm 306.7 ib-ft 4066rpm also my car has a neuspeed intake fitted with heat shield and runs on 98ron
  9. hi all i just thought i would give the heads up of my APR remap as i would of yesterday but was too tired and would of made spelling errors. but anyways woke up Monday morning and drove down to amd tuning being my nearest tuner/APR dealer for my car. so got down there without too much hassle was asked the questions you would normally get with remapping what octane do you use and any tuning parts etc then left the keys with them and went off to lakeside. then 3-4 hours later went back and they was just running the last rolling road session and took for a test drive made sure it was behaving itself. once they returned all was fine so paid the man and got some goodies thrown in plus of course dyno sheet and went home. once i got some clearance i put my foot down and was amazed just how different the car is was. the torque is just stupid for a fwd car the chassis can just about cope with it and where as before i would have to drop it down a few gears u really don't have to no where near as much. but overall extremely impressed with it but will need to look into sorting handling out and maybe some better brakes but have got a holiday very soon so will have to be after that. but big thanks to john for giving me his experience on his APR tune and also APR/Evan for answering my questions but also a fantastic job also big thanks to amd tuning for very good customer service. so if anyone is looking for a remap on there 2.0tsi vrs give amd/apr a call you won't regret it
  10. my mate's got them on his pug 206 gti180 and the grip is amazing couple that with a car that is setup for handling and its almost close to making your head and stomach go funny. will be getting a set of them myself after my holiday as i am fed up of the dunlops/goodyear and Michelin combo mainly the dunlop's makes the car sound like its got wheel bearing issue's :(
  11. totally agree shark our top notch and i know the travel is worth it but after reading on apr and revo apr is close to what i like. claimed hp and torque is always one of those things that can be different on each car so i ain't taking it too much to heart just want the car to feel night and day not that its slow just like my last car have got used to it and is about time for abit more power
  12. i take it u mean the explanation i made of my recent remap which im not sure tbh as in terms of health my car seems fine just a possible leak on dv valve which is a type g. but it just felt like a merry go round. in the end i was getting quite worried as he was talking about pedal position and advanced timing etc and altho i understand most of it just something didn't feel right so i asked them to put back to stock.
  13. ohhhh i get it now so is that something you chose or did they do that but of course told about this feature ??
  14. awesome thanks for clearing that up for me as the mapper i used was a genuine mapper as he mapped my dad's merc really well. but for some odd reason when you put your foot down fully it was ok...ish went like stink but if you were gentle it was very jerky and the dv valve was whistling like hell but it was like hitting a brick wall also the dv valve noise would drop off after a certain amount of revs. don't get me wrong the bloke tried everything in his power to solve it but just couldn't. but on the plus side on the first dyno/rolling road run it made 220hp and thats just with 98 ron and a neuspeed intake. once mapped it made 249.4bhp and i think 267 torques but can't remember if it was nm or ft-lb as i left the paperwork at the workshop :(. did look at shark and revo as i had a shark map on my 1.8t but i just want to try something different and revo's aftersales put me off abit. where as apr sound really good from what i found from another topic on here.and when you speak of the cruise stalk thing what do you mean by that as yes my car has that there but i don't understand how the map has affected the cruise control lol??
  15. hi all just booked my car into amd for a apr remap after just having my car mapped yesterday but ended up being put back to stock due to odd issues. but was wondering if anyone has any experience with there mapping. the car is a 2.0tsi manual thx all
