  1. Im still much more concerned that every skoda seems to be based on the same low powered 1.2 tsi and 1.6tdi engines... rapid and even the yeti is so limited (yes I know 2.0tdi also existss...) ...what happened to the 1.8tsi in the yetis and what will now happen to the 1.4tsi with no need for vrs... unless they make a hot monte....hmm...now we're talking!
  2. So to cut a long story short.. has anyone had their dpf removed and managed to pass an mot yet?
  3. I like! Looks more like the mk1 than the mk2 did. If only they would just make a vRS...
  4. When I had a mk1 it was all the rage to have a straight through exhaust. Maybe im wrong :-/ maybe it doesnt count for older cars? Im really a newbie to this whole mot emissions debarcle
  5. Thanks guys. Wont be removing now. The next issue is the legalities of the cat removal which may cause problems for many people.on here surely?
  6. 505 01 is edge 5-40 turbo diesel and 504 00 -507 00 is edge 5w 30 Quoting castrol specs there.
  7. Hallo I ou4chased my monte tdi 105 to do some.big motorway miles a year ago and now due to job changes I do local miles with the odd blast down the dual carriageway or b roads at the weekend. Im worried ill get dpf problems now my situ has changed. Other than sell the car and get something petrol - can I get away with going for a dpf delete? Uk mot guides say that its a pass as long as theres no evidence of dpf or cat removal ... and darkside do an exhaust that looks standard but removes the dpf. Thoughts?
  8. Ideally I want to upgrade the fronts but thought it would look strange with big fronts and drum rears plus will the brake balance front to rear be all over the place?
  9. Hallo Any advice or where i should start would be great. Assuming ill need to find a scrapped MK2 vRS....? Fez
  10. Note: Avoid Yeti's in Hertfordshire. Great thread, Thanks!
  11. Erm surely this points to possibly just making it a rapid estate (same thing?) Instead of mk3
  12. Really liking the more 'serious' mk1 esque shape.
